I have purchased Smart stick in the past for home and cottage and use it daily. This one is a replacement for an older one that wore out. Unfortunately they changed some features on it for the worse. It has lock/unlock button on the top which must be pressed at the same time as the speed button. The speed buttons are also hard rubber and very difficult to press. This combination makes it impossible for someone with arthritis or less than very strong hands to use it! Now don’t get me wrong, I am 78 and just cleaned up my garden with a hedge trimmer with a safety lock and refinished some cupboard doors with a belt sander, also with a safety lock. I had no trouble with them! However I had to rig a system to disable the safety lock on my smart stick with a bead and some tape. The difficult speed buttons I just have to operate with two hands. They should have product tested this on cooks of all ages and genders.

It doesn't work, I contacted you to get help, the email I received asking for more info didn't allow a return, so I have a nonworking blender and no resolution.

We put this on our wedding registry, and were very excited when we received it however, we quickly realized that it does a terrible job as a blender! Even in the low setting it sends things flying everywhere, not to mention that it's a pain in the rear to start since you have to hold it, and push the lock and speed button at the same time in order for it to start!! Not convenient at all! The chopper is decent but we mainly wanted this because it was an easy way to whip some scramble eggs, or a small portion of batter, yet neither of those are doable! We would have returned it if we would have kept the box.

I was given this as a Christmas gift and wish I had gotten a model before the safety button was added, as it is a real pain and very uncomfortable. In my opionion, with this safety button you need three hands to operate this thing; one to hold the safety button, one for the run button, and another to hold the vessel you are blending in. I wanted this for blending soups in the pan; in that case the vessel is heavy enough, it doesn't get away from you. I had to learn to just leave the blender stationary in the pot (not to try to move it around as you would with a hand mixer). All that said, it does a decent job of blending and seems well made.

I really liked this set when I first bought it and used it frequently. However, there was one thing I disliked immediately. It is very awkward to hold the power stick and simultaneously hold down the button that keeps it going. It made my hand ache and I lost my hold on the button repeatedly. Then the plastic gears stripped. That made everything unusable. I returned it. I know I am not the only consumer who has detailed these flaws. I wish Cuisinart would redesign this to fix the shortcomings as the set is actually a good idea.

This is difficult to operate as you have to use both hands to hold down two buttons at the same time. I had to call cuisinart to see if there was something wrong with it and they confirmed that is how it works. I have only tried it once and not sure if will use it again, disappointed

I had the older model and loved it. I really do not like the safety feature button on the top of the wand. It is very awkward to have to keep pushing that button down to reposition the wand to mix something.
