if its anything like the old one, top notch

I've been trying to get parts for my Mod #220A which is the same grill from 1956. It's had more than a ton on meat cooked on it. The top grates still have some life in them. I don't know why it's rusting away. Like I said it's 60 years old. And since I seen the new replacement I will buy it soon. I'm the 3rd owner of this grill as I was only 5 years old at the time. It was purchased by Uncle Al Zbin.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It was difficult for us to put it together because the lid is so heavy.
Whereas the cooking surface is big, the charcoal grate does not cover the entire under surface, so there can be some cooler areas on the cooking surface.
It does not have the keep warm rack that many grills have, and we needed that.

Old Faithful

I've had this grill for about 15 years and use it at least once a week. I've replaced the charcoal basket and cooking grates simply because they were burned out. Other than that the grill is still rock solid and cooks great.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We bought this grill in 1981 when we moved out of our townhouse into a rental home. It has been the best purchase we have ever made. It has moved with us several times and continues to serve us very well. It is always stored outside under a grill cover. With the exception of replacing the wheels I have not replaced a single thing. I could sure use the gift card to replace the grates and slide out tray.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I Hope It's As Good As My "OLD FAITHFUL" CB 860

So far, this CB940X is great for cooking everything: meat fish, chicken, and roasts. It replaced CB860-4, affectionately called "OLD FAITHFUL," which served me well for over 30 years. Of course, that one was made by W. C. BRADLEY in Columbus, Georgia in the U. S. A. mostly solid cast iron. We'll have to wait and see how this 200 pound import survives grilling and time. I'm 67 now, and I don't reckon I'll still be charcoal grilling another 30 years, but I hope it serves me until I can't grill any more.

I BOUGHT MY SECOND ONE SIX YEARS AGO. IM FIRST ONE WAS GIVEN TO ME WHEN WE MARRIED IN 1980. I TRIED A COUPLE OF OTHER GRILLS BECAUSE I DIDN'T KNOW WHERE TO PURCHASE THIS ONE. NOTHING ELSE EVEN COMPARES TO THE CB940X. CONTROL OF THE HEAT IS EXCELLENT, HUGE AREA, BUT IT HOLDS HEAT WELL SO IF COOKING TWO STEAKS ONLY A SMALL AMOUNT OF CHARCOAL NEEDED.IT'S ALSO GREAT FOR SMOKING. I LOVE IT.
