best all around grill ever

so the family grill is a 940 from 1971 and it is still going, got new grates last year. I don't think I can wear it out. it cooks the best steak ever

Best stick burner I've ever owned!

There is a reason this pit hasn't changed much over the years. It works! I grill burgers, skewers, and steaks. I've slow roasted chops and pork steaks indirectly and I've smoked some of the best brisket I've ever tasted using an indirect "fuse burn". If you're creative enough you can pretty much cook any animal with any method you want (outside of offset smoking, of course). It's large enough to separate the pit into zones with plenty of head room and holds temp very well. Any backyard cook worth his or her salt should own a charbroil 940x in their arsenal.

I am 57 and have had a 940 for most of my adult life as my father before me. I am on my second one. I will always have one. Please never stop making this product.

I had a Char Broil grill for over 20 years that finally rusted out and I could no longer repair it. This one is much heavier built than my last one and I am looking forward to many years of happy char-grilling!

This grill was the best addition to my charbroil family the thickness of the metal holds the heat extremely well, the fire last all day, I honestly don't think I could have made a better purchase.

I have used this same grill for decades, and I love it. The only problem I have had is with the wheels. Seems like the engineers can come up with a better wheel for this unit.

i GOT MINE IN 1990. TOOK IT TO ENGLAND WITH ME. THE ENGLISH COULDN'T BELIEVE SUCH A THING EXISTED. STILL HAVE IT AFTER 27 YEARS! MY FATHER'S IS EVEN OLDER, SMALLER AND STILL USABLE. IT LOOKS LIKE ITS TIME TO FINALLY REPLACE IT.
