I'm having problems staying connected to my computer. This is my first Wi-Fi printer so I'm hoping this is something that I missed. If you wish to give me a suggestion it would be appreciated.

Epson XP-Small - in - One Printer

I am very satisfied with the print results, especially with photos and cards.
I prefer a top loading printer, however, they do not seem to make these any more. All seem to have the paper tray, but I'm adjusting to this.
Have not yet purchased ink, but am hopeful it is reasonably priced as this is the greatest expense with printing.

After hours of comparing reviews, looking at individual models and companies I purchased the Epson XP 610 last week and have been giving it a fair trial at home. The initial set-up was fairly easy although I thought the quick set-up instructions might be improved a bit. I made only one error - putting my photo paper in the tray "face-side" up. I was perplexed at the mess I got when I tried to print several photos, then realized that the paper had to be put in face-side down! Voila! Excellent prints every time thereafter.
I don't know what to make of the various complaints I read about in other reviews of the Epson XP610, but I had no other problem and I am very pleased with my new printer, having used it to replace a Canon MX850 that started failing after at least three years of faithful service.
I like the small, compact size and the controls are easy to understand and follow. It is set up via USB to a desktop iMac with a 10.6.8 system. I have not yet tried using the wireless option, but expect to use that to print photos from my Kindle.

So easy

I just installed the XP-610 all by myself!!!! I can not believe it. The last several printers we have had were all hp and I have NEVER been able to completely install them by myself. The last time after over an hour of trying to get the blasted thing to connect to the computer I gave up and had to leave the house I was so frustrated! This printer is like a miracle for all of us that have ever felt that frustration. It literally only took a half an hour from unpacking to getting it connected to my computer and getting a confirmation printed that it is all set up and ready to go! I almost want to cry it was so simple. The only hiccup on the set up was my fault in putting in my password for our router I entered it in all capitals and it needed to be lower case. That is it hope this helps some other technologically impaired person out there. :-)

Printer Set-up

Being not too technical savvy, I was uneasy about encountering problems while setting up my new printer. By carefully following the instructions, first printed, then on the disc, everything worked perfectly and much more smoothly than expected. I was a little confused at first by the top tray on the letter tray, expecting it to attach in some way. Once I tried with it just sitting on top, everything worked perfectly. This home copier does not get daily use but everything so far has worked well.

Kind of silly to ask for a review since I received it at 6:30 pm last night, but here goes: Setup was easy, bought the printer mostly for the ability to print directly onto CDs, as I do a lot of these for church...last HP printer finally quit after a few years of heavy use....hope this one lasts as long! So far the CD printing works great, and quick too! still need to play with printing photos, so I can't comment on that function. I would really like a printed user manual (detailed), as the online one is rather vague in a number of areas, and I hate to have to contact tech support. other than that, I have no qualms at all so far. For the money, I don't think I could beat it, as the number of reasonably priced printers that can print on CDs is very limited, and my past experiences with epson printers have been very good ones.

Overall performance of this printer is as advertised. I bought it because of the separate photo paper tray (my business printer required changing paper since it had only one paper tray). I like the convenience of having the photo paper available all the time. Only demerit for the printer is that in printing 4 X 6 photos of the pictures on my camera is cropped slightly at the top and bottom, some shots I have lose peoples heads!
