Awesome for price

I wish I could rate this 4.5. The only thing keeping from a 5 is I don't like how the output tray feels. It seems like it's supposed to open automatically, but I have to open it by hand before printing. My other gripe is the upper paper cassette. It can slide in too far, and it would be so much more useful if it handled full sized envelopes.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It's Ok

The cd was blank and I am tired now so I still can't get the pictures to print on my paper in the center .It keeps printing from the edge . I'll ask my daugher to help me ,my husband is useless. I have not figured out how to print from my other computer or phone .I am lost . I will Have to call . It does a good job with printing pages of notes . The pictures look dark to me . Oh well we will see .

My Epson XP-610

I purchased this all-in-one unit to replace an older "print only" printer. I have used it for about two months every day without any problems. I have used it with both XP and Win7. Both accepted it readily as I did.The print quality is great for text, color photos and color scans. I have already recommended it to a few friends.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A Little Jewel with a Small Flaw

I love the size of my new XP-610. It doesn't take up as much space as my last printer. The copies are perfect. The cost was reasonable. But...the installation instructions were difficult to read and difficult to follow. And nowhere did it say that there was protective padding in the cartridge space and no way to understand the error code until I called the customer service number in the instruction page. And he was, perhaps, the strangest person I have ever spoken to in a customer service position, although he did figure out the problem eventually.

XP-610 unhappy

I purchased this printer to print better pictures. I have had nothing but problems. It goes through ink just after printing very little. I replace ink and it does not print correctly at all. Replaced ink with new cartridges again and it prints worse. I have applied all the maintenance and still terrible printing. Does not print anything close to what the picture is. Just put in a new black cartrigde and know no black prints even though it says ink is all full. Very disappointed in this printer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Initial Impression

The printer seems to provide all that we need. I called for support in getting the printer functioning and the support was excellent' I do believe that the documentation needs significant improvement. The tech support person first had me make a copy prior to setting up the communication with the computer. This is not mentioned in the documentation. It might be good to get a novice trying to set up; the printer with some expert and seeing what problems they encounter to help improve the documentation.

EVEN A NOVICE CAN DO THIS

I am >62yrs old & a real beginner with computers. I was able to follow the directions & connect wirelessly with my PC, Laptop & IPhone! The only comment I have is that the directions kept referring to the outlet draw & I didn't have a clue where it was!! I finally found it after a few HOURS of on-line video hunting via You Tube. I think the setup could be a little clearer when it comes to loading paper in the 2 drawers. I LOVE being able to print pics of the grandkids from my phone <3

Fast printing, super fast scanning, easy to use lcd settings. Seperate tray for photos, no constant swapping of paper. Prints to DVDs, a main selling point for me. Price point was perfect for the performance. Auto duplex printing is awesome, had to call the wife over to watch. The wireless setup was painless and quick. It would be nice if the paper tray held more, but it's the trade-off needed for the seperate photo paper tray. Perfectly pleased with this printer.
