The quality of print was fair. After only 7 months of use, something happened to the ink. Over a few days, all of the ink cartridges needed to be replaced so I did that,as needed. then the colors were messed up and cleaning the heads did not help and nothing printed at all. Now it won't turn on. Very unsatisfactory.

Worst Printer Ever
on September 15, 2015

This printer/scanner is not at all user friendly. It takes multiple attempts to scan anything to the computer as the printer cannot seem to maintain a connection (I have Google Fiber - it is NOT my internet). The quality of photos is poor in comparison to other brands. Most are printed with lines all the way across them and come out blurry. I was able to reconnect my 10 year old printer/scanner and have no problems at all. I will NEVER purchase another Epson product for myself or my business.

Worst printer I have ever had to set up

I am an IT professional with over 20 years experience.
This printer set up easily right out of the box, and worked correctly for ONE day. After that, the wireless functionality has refused to work. That's right - on a Windows 7 machine, it printed just fine for one day, and then stopped printing wirelessly for no detectable reason.
I have spend HOURS trying to make it work wirelessly. The setup program finds the printer, but won't install with wireless options.
I'm taking it back. Save yourself a lot of frustration and don't buy this printer.

Epson XP-610

Excellent printer. Wanted one to print wireless from iPod/iPad (have both) as well as a Notebook PC. Also wanted auto 2-sided printing. The Epson XP-610 does all of the above and much more. I did not expect to be able to control copying and scanning from iPod/iPad which it does with the Epson Connect software. I highly recommend this printer.

I'll tell you why I didn't give it 5 stars

I set this printer up wirelessly, and that part was the bees knees. Understanding some of the strange pictorials was what took the longest. I didn't know the first thing about printers when my husband handed it to me and said "Here, do this today". That being said, the picture instructions with no words left a little to be desired. Once I finally got past that, it's awesome and I'm very happy with it.

Three trays a pain

I tried this in light use for about 6 weeks. Was out of black and color all low when I returned it. I selected this model based a lot on CR reviews and the auto duplexing. The ink use was so heavy duplexing was almost useless from the heavy ink printing thru to make reading hard. I tried using density adjustment to 50% which helped but always revert to 100%. Got tired of resetting. But the killer was the 2 input trays, output tray and display screen always interfering with each other. There is a good utube review explaining (and agreeing with) this. Probably good photos but I seldom do photos and who prints on CD's. Better alternatives for me.

Epson Expression Premium XP-610 Value

I purchased the XP-610 to replace my Epson Artisan 700 printer, which had exceeded it's "ink pad" life. I have been using the XP 610 for two weeks. The scan, print, and CD/DVD printing quality are very comparable to the Artisan 700, and the Epson 273 ink cartridges are less expensive that the Artisan's Epson 98 cartridges. I will have to see if the service life of the 273 cartridges is comparable to the 98s.

I had one of these printers and after a week It would not print anything. I got a replacement after talking to support. This second one wouldn't print anything except the maintenance and Wi-Fi sheets.Every time I tried to print photos or documents or something from the internet a box came up that said "buy new ink" and the ink level bars are all grey color. No levels shown.Support is sending me new ink to see if that helps. If not I'll have to replace this replacement
