This is the best printer I have ever owned. The foot print is small but the performance and reliability have exceeded all my expectations

Easy Setup & Use

Took less than 30 minutes for setup, including wireless network. Printer test page & I was in business.
Small foot print is good for my home 'office' space. All trays are stored within the printer, so no hunting for any tray.
Text is clean & sharp, as is color.

Since this model is discontinued a word of caution for anyone thinking used or leftover.
It works great and was an easy install. The problem is ink runs out way too soon and if the photo black is out it won't let you print using just regular black. Don't know where the photo black goes because we generally are just printing black and white documents.

Good quality, bad design

It prints quality documents but has two major design flaws for my use. First the tray has to be removed (pulled forward) in order to be able to print. With this tray out, it adds 7" of the space the printer takes up. Secondly the ink "software" is a horrible design. It gives you very little warning that it is "low, as it sees it" on ink. If you are doing a printing job, only using black and white, and it tells you that you are low on a particular color (which isn't even used to print in black and white) it stops you from being able to finish your print job. The only options to proceed are to replace ink "NOW' or to cancel the job. Horrible design.

I've had this printer about three years don't know why I didn't send it back right away. Had to have there support help me get it working , I've had to reinstall it 5 or 6 times I swear it uses ink even when turned off. and when it runs out of one color you can't print. when it does work right it will print a really nice picture but it seems like you can't just print , all ways have to clean the heads or install new cartridges or the soft ware. absolutely the worst printer I have ever had. I can't express how much I hate this printer. will never buy another Epson product again.

Good only when it works, which is seldom

I had purchased an Epson XP 600 because the salesman recommended it for great photo printing quality. I was very impressed at first, and enjoyed the printer for about 6 months. Then, I replaced a couple of cartridges, and it wouldn't print those colors. I cleaned the print heads, as recommended, but no luck. I tried two more new cartridges, thinking it might be the cartridges - still didn't work. I decided to cut my losses and go buy a new printer. Since I still had $150 worth of cartridges left from the XP 600, I decided to buy another Epson - this time the XP610. This one worked for about a month before I had to change the black cartridge and, again, the printer refused to print black, even after multiple head cleanings and wasted ink. This time I called customer service, and they walked me through what to do, but I had already done everything they recommended. They sent me a replacement, and today, after a couple of months, I had to replace the black cartridge. With trepidation I inserted the cartridge and hit print - Agggh!! No black again. Cleaned print heads again. I am DONE. I am not spending any more money on another Epson or buying any more ink just to waste it on cleaning print heads.
