The print quality is very good. However, I am not fond of the location for the paper tray. It is not that easy to access.

clunky tray system

Although I really like the printing speed and the wifi printing, the tiny trays all cramped together with the printed page receiving tray make this not the easiest printer when having a moderately average to heavy printing situation. I like the feature where it recognizes photos and prints from that separate paper tray. Ink appetite is not a customer friendly aspect of this printer also. Having XL and non XL ink is confusing. I would be happier with high capacity as the only choice at better (cheaper) price point.

Affordable printer, expensive to maintain.

High ink usage makes this seemingly affordable printer expensive to maintain. In the first 3 months since purchasing the printer I have had to replace ink cartridges 2 times, each time having printed less than 50 single side pages.
Although the overall print quality is good the time for printing per page is slow so leave plenty of time to print.

I have been a loyal Epson customer for more than 25 years. In fact, my first home computer was an Epson Equity I+. I have owned three Epson printers over the years, both dot matrix and ink jet, and always have been well satisfied with them. They hold up well under moderate to heavy use, and the print quality is outstanding. So when I decided to go to an all-in-one, Epson was the natural choice. I have not been disappointed. The XP-610 is a perfect fit for my home usage needs: light to moderate text printing, occasional photo printing, and some copying/scanning. Text printing is practically indistinguishable from the laser printer at my office, and per-page speed is outstanding. Photos come out as well as the ones I have printed through retail outlets, though I wonder about their permanence--this isn't archival paper or ink, after all. Speaking of ink, that's the only complaint I have: this printer seems to run through it more quickly than I anticipated.

I have used this printer for over 6 months. The printed text is very good to excellent. The pictures are average for a printer at this price point. I have it hardwired to my computer. The printer is noisy when it periodically realigns the print heads and other internal components. It is hard to compare ink usage with my prior non-Epson printer because the cartridges are different sizes/volumes. The Epson is smaller. I like the small footprint. If it lasts for a couple of years, I would probably buy another one.

I've had the XP-610 for 6 months. It serves me well. However, if you are really into color for greeting cards like I am the color reproduction is not quite as good as my last Epson (which is no longer available) And as a personal change I would like to make - top feeding printers seem so much easier to know how much paper you have left, or to change paper or print envelopes. This change would make the XP- 610 an outstanding printer.

Quick, compact, trouble free, almost intuitive, unobtrusive, reliable machine! It does what it is told to do, quickly and quietly. In over a year of constant use, it has never caused me any grief - unlike other printers here. It prints 10 to 20 documents daily (40 pages average) conservative ink use, always ready! A great utility printer!!! It would be nice to have a hard copy user manual...

Been loving the wireless aspects.
The only thing that would of given full stars is: We are old school. Not everyone is the same ( an item to be remembered, older clients tend to have more money to spend.) Would like to have options for getting a printed version of instructions. Not everyone wants to sit at a computer, be it laptop or tablets, etc. To get instructions.
