This is my first time buying an Epson printer. I had to configure it to my computer, the CD provided along with the detailed written instructions made it very easy to install and I was ready to print in less than 1/2 hour! I am anxious to print my documents. The resolution looks fantastic just from the print test page!

This printer was easy to set up and the wireless was also since I already had my computer set up on a network. It prints very good and I especially like that its smaller and not so heavy and taking up space. I haven't tried the CD printing yet or the photo printing but it seemed like a good deal for the sale price.

Not quite right

I have been using this printer for several months. It is a perfect size to sit on a bookshelf nearby but out of the way. I like how the paper feed in and out is all on the front. Print setup with automatic double sided print is most appreciated. Print is clear, clean and easy to read. Ink runs out much too soon...Paper holder is shallow (but understandable) compared to my WorkForce 7520 it is very easy to use and to connect wirelessly. I don't print pictures very often...

Excellent Results, but some poor features

I bought the XP-610 because I wanted an inexpensive printer with both a 4x6 photo paper tray and a letter paper tray. I would have liked a printer with a rear feed tray for photo paper or card stock, but couldn’t find one. The printer output is great, but the equipment and software could be more user friendly. In order to print, you have to manually open the bottom flap and pull out the paper catch tray. It would be nice if this was automatic/motorized. There are 3 trays right on top of each other in the front: the letter tray, the photo tray, and the catch tray. I have pulled out the photo tray many times on accident when I was trying to pull out the catch tray.
The document and photo print quality is great, and in most cases it prints very quickly, even at startup. It does two sided printing, but the software disables the function if you tell it you are using card stock. However if you lie and say it is regular paper, it prints the card stock I use on both sides without any problems.
The scanner is great, but I was very confused when I first tried to use it. In the default Full Auto Mode, it doesn’t let you decide where to store the file, nor does it let you scan multiple pages into a PDF file. These options open up if you are in the Home, Business, or Professional mode however.
I absolutely hate the Users Guide. It is an index with links to subject matter, and multi tiered drop downs. It feels like those telephone menus where you have to hit a dozen buttons to get to where you want to go. And each destination is only a paragraph or two, and you need to back up and go to another dropdown. I much prefer a PDF with and index where I can read a whole chapter if I want to.
The printer is not noisy, but it sounds squeaky when it is cycling, which doesn’t give me the feeling of quality. It also cycles before it goes into standby mode (about 15 minutes after last use?), which has startled my wife when she is home alone.
The printer/scanner works fine and delivers great results, but I don’t love it.

Just got the Epson xp 610 and ran some test it performed beautifully. Color photos are awsome and scanning to media card is out standing, it makes it easier to transport documents and photos.

I bought the first one these a few weeks ago the quality was so good and very easy to set and use I decided to buy a second for my other computer. The quality of an Epson printer is unsurpased and second to none actually there is nothing to compare it with. I would highly recommend this one you won't be disappointed
