Photo and CD Print Capability

I purchased the XP-610 for its ability to print on printable CDs. Owning two other Epson printers that I am extremely pleased with I did not expect the 610 to do much more than print CDs. I have been pleasantly surprised at the quality of the photos that are printed on the 610 and have now dedicated this printer to photo and CD printing, freeing up the other two Epson printers for other scanning and printing requirements. Could not be more pleased with the XP-610.

Small but powerful

Printer works great once you figure out how it works. It is fast. Duplexing is different: it copies items not like you would have them in a book but top to bottom/bottom to top. This was an addition that I did not expect. Haven't tried to print photos yet. I like the size (smaller than my previous Epson printer). A bit noisy but it doesn't bother me. I also have not tried printing using the Wifi yet. That was easy to set up. Wish that companies would give you a full manual rather than just setup info. Overall seems to be a good machine. My last Epson lasted seven years, hope this one does too.

I would recommend this printer to a friend. However, I did need to call tech support to get it connected to my WiFi. The techie had me go into my system (a macBook Pro and delete my other printers and then this printer was accepted.
That was the only glitch - it is performing very well.

New, first impressions of XP-610 all-in-one print

Just installed my new XP-610 All-in-one Home printer and have been very impressed with it.
I found it was extremely easy to connect with our home wireless network and print without even having to connect the printer with a USB cable!
Also found first photos printed were really crisp and professional looking, not at all like those I've printed from previous all-in-one printers.

Of course the real test is to see how it continues to perform after a year or so, but first impression is GREAT!

I am greatly impressed with all that this printer does. Picture quality is superb and I was impressed at how easy it was to install and how fast it was up and printing. I have used other printers and have always come back to Epson. Epson is superior to any of the other brands that I have used. I will always use Epson.
