We purchased the XP-610 as a printer for correspondence and related printing. It was a breeze to install and get operational. It does a fine job with with all of our ordinary printing needs (we use an Epson R-260 for photo printing). The XP-610 conserves desktop real estate, produces clear, crisp prints and is nice and quiet. I would readily recommend both printers to anyone who asks.

Great printer

No problem setting up WiFi but setting up the connect so I could print from Kindle and smartphone took a lot more time. Finally got that to work. The only thing that is a pain is having to keep the paper tray out if you want to print anything. If the tray isn't out it gives out an alarm. The tray is large and makes the printer not really small and compact when it is extended. I purchased to use in my RV so needed a small printer. It is a bit on the heavy side. I haven't tried it in my RV yet.

Epson XP-610 small-in-one

Pros: Compact size. Photo and text printing quality is good although photo quality is dependent on the type of paper used. CD label printing is very nice - sharp and fast. Scanning is also fast but not as good as my older stand-alone scanner. Copy app is great. Cons: Too many drawers to pull in and out. Construction of drawers seems flimsy. It seems like you are always adjusting something depending on the print/ scan task. Paper loading is awkward. Scanner seems to attract dust.

Long Time Epson User

I hadn't needed or wanted a printer for 10 years, but prior to that, I used Epson exclusively. As a writer I decided I needed a printer, so I bought this one. I set mine up with the wi-fi connection at home, and once I remembered that my password was lower case, the printer and wi-fi connection was a breeze. I've already run test prints of documents, and even printed a photo on plain paper. Print quality was very good for documents, and pretty good for plain paper photos. I checked ink prices before I bought the printer, and found them to be reasonable. I like the separate color cartridges, because if I run out of a particular color ink, all I have to buy is that color. Time will tell, but I think that I have a winner here.

Easiest Wireless Setup
on January 2, 2014

The XP-610 is extremely easy to setup and operate with a wireless connection. And best of all because of Epson,s software I no longer have to woory about having to uninstall and reinstalling my printer software because i have a dynamic IP. For years i struggled with wireless printers not making a connection but not now not with the XP-610. The installation went so seamless that i was done in under 20 minutes, something I had planned on working on for hours. And what's more is that it is small enough to fit discreetly in my TV cabinet and cant be seen unless the door to the cabinet is open. GREAT JOB EPSON!!!!

My first Epson product in many years

I found the XP-610 pretty easy to set up, but the basic printed directions could include a bit more detail. I figured it all out, but now see where more detail would have assisted the process. After printing a couple of photos from Picasa, I am underwhelmed with the print quality. I hope it improves after more printing is done or there is an opportunity to calibrate colors. To be explored later.

I love our new Epson printer. The wifi was easy to set up and works brilliantly on our home network. The double sided printing is fantastic. I haven't tried the photo printing yet but look forward to printing my own pictures
