Although I have owned about 8 printers previously, I hadn't purchased one for a few years. This one seems to be a jewel for the money. I was only looking for a document printer. But I found that this prints great pictures. With the wireless printing direct from iPhone and iPad my wife is a regular user. Wireless was not difficult to set up, but I had to disable virus protection to do it. One note, I couldn't get the scanner to work wirelessly. It seemed to need a cable.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have used Epson printers for years. I use them a lot for business printing in my home as well as for my children's school work. When one wears out due to the heavy use, usually every couple of years) I just get another. I have always appreciated the ease of use, This particular printer is more difficult to figure out. It seems there are more steps to go through just to complete simple task. I have figured it out, and I manage, but I don't like it. Keep it simple Epson.

Epson X610 Review

Unpacked, installed cartridges, paper, & software, and printed successfully in less than an hour. Wish manufacturers would return to the old days and supply a hard copy of the user guide. Hope this printer lasts as long as my last Epson (~8 years).

Will not print black!!!

Just bought this printer. Was super easy to set up and the first three pages printed really well...but none after that. Only the colour will print. I bought new ink cartridges thinking maybe the ones that came with the computer weren't full, but even after installing a new black cartridge it won't print. The printer says everything is good, but it's obviously not....total garbage! Hope I can return it for a different brand. Very, very frustrating. I've spent two nights trying to get it to work. Everything I "googled" didn't work. Don't waste your money. A brand new printer should work for more than 5 minutes.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It does everything I need and does a great job!! I can't wait to get something to scan or copy a recipe. I just wake it up and let it do its things. GREAT colors for printing off the internet. I'm glad I bought this one!!

Cannot print in black once PHOTO black runs out

BEWARE. If you are using this printer to mainly print black and white documents, you must keep BOTH PHOTO and REGULAR black cartridges stocked. It will not print in black, even though you might have a BLACK XL ink cartridge that is 3/4 full.
Called customer support. NO WORK AROUND.
