Excellent Photo printer

I needed a good photo printer. I am a retired band director and I am a videographer as a retired job to earn extra money. In my job, I also take pictures to include as artwork on the DVD projects and for labels and such. I also needed a good printer for giving clients hard copies of photos. I have an Epson WorkForce 845, which is great except it doesn't do photos well. I had an Epson Artisan 50 for printing on CD/DVD/Blu-Ray discs, but for photos, it didn't do so well. Today I saw the Epson XP-610. It prints photos and can print CD/DVD/Blu-Ray media as well. The 8 photos I've printed are awesome - much better than the aforementioned printers. I like it's small size for an all-in-one printer. Since I have the WorkForce, I didn't need all the bells and whistles of the XP-810, so I saved $100. The only gripe I have is that NOWHERE in the instructions does it mention that you have to manually pull out the "output tray" for print jobs. I called Epson support, and the guy who helped me told me that it opens automatically. He then had to ask and told me that it is a manual open and close, even though you feel "gear resistance" when you move it. I hope this doesn't create a problem down the road. So far, I'm VERY HAPPY!

Confusing

It was very confusing with the trays. Trying to figure out what went where and finding the output tray. Please be a little clearer in the future.

You Get What You Pay For

I wanted a printer for every day printing, not neccesarily for photos. I also liked the idea of printing on a DVD. When you buy ink you pay for the printer over and over and over. I should have done more research and that is my bad. Beware of using the head cleaning etc. You blow through ink quickly and there is no warning!
The Epson Customer Service is outstanding otherwise I would have rated the machine lower.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent small, all-in-one printer!

Overall I am very pleased with the Epson Expression Premium XP-610 Printer. The good first: print quality, very good. Speed of print, good. Wi-Fi printing very good, just had one minor snag in the beginning, but customer service got me up and running, no problem. About the only negative I can really point to, is the amount of time it takes the printer to warm up, gear up, pressurize print cartridges, and whatever else it is doing, after the printer has sat dormant for awhile, it goes into a deep, deep sleep, and takes an excessively long time to print out, even the first sheet, upon giving it a new item to print. But, other than that, I would still highly recommend this printer!

Great Printer

Excellent print quality and easy set up. I have a space with a low height profile and small footprint, so this printer using a tray instead of loading the paper in the back was a perfect solution.

Bought this printer because it will print CD and DVD labels. I burn a lot of DVDs and love the professional looking labels I am able to print. It also handles all my printing jobs satisfactorily. I doubt it uses any more ink than comparable brands. Hope Epson keeps offering a printer with DVD printing. We also have a Epson XP400 that we are very satisfied with.

EPSON XP610 is amazing!!

The printer prints much faster than my old printer. Installation is quick and easy! I love that you can print from your phone too. There are tons of options on what you can print and what you can print from. One of best characteristics for me is how quiet the printer is!! Not to mention, this printer is sleek and compact! Definitely would recommend this high-quality printer!

Good for the money

It was bought mainly for use with MS Word & Excel and it prints nicely
The few pictures I printed turned out well also.
I did have issues with scanning to PDf's. It does jpg's mainly.
It was very easy to install by usb and then wirelessly.
The paper tray is awkward and takes getting used to.
