A Printer of Many Great Capabilities

The small price, miniature size and footprint of this "little" printer is an effective disguise for the broad variety of its capabilities. Since my original purchase was for quickly and easily printing color photographs, that was the first task it was used for. The quality of the resulting brilliant, beautifully colored prints was most impressive. The next use was simple letter size forms printing. It was easy, quick and the quality was great. Next, a full letter size scrapbook glossy print was created. The result looked very professional. Finally, after creating five copies of a CD, I desired to print a good-looking label on these discs, using the photos previously printed as a background for the CD title. Again, the result was a brilliant, permanent, professional-looking label repeated on each CD. Since I have owned this printer less than two weeks, I have not yet explored its capacity to copy CDs or any other the Epson XP-610's "tricks." It is a GREAT printer, by any measure!

My old unit EPSON 860 WAS BETTER AND MORE USER FRIENDLY.

the printer works fine . The only thing about is that it is loud when starting and shutting down .

I have a Mac computer and when I installed the disc nothing came on the screen until I finally double click the icon the instructions are hard to understand if a problem comes up there no help!!!
Can't get it to print every time I go to print or scan it tells me to open output tray manually and press ok for details which I do re-open draw and the paper is fine close the tray and nothing happens tried the troubleshoot page and it's no help.

NICE PRINTER WORKS WELL, GOOD QUALITY PRINTS. ONLY PROBLEM I COULDN'T SCAN WIRELESS. NEED WSD. DOESN'T TELL YOU THAT IN THE SET UP, AND OFFERS NO LINKS TO GET IT.

It works

I bought the XP-610 to replace my Sylus R 200 which died of old age. The 610 has 3 trays for letter/A4 (not legal) size paper, smaller items like envelopes and index cards, and DVD/CD ROMs. It connected easily to one desktop via USB and to another via my cell phone modem/WIFI router. I was unable to connect directly through epson WIFI. Unlike the NX-620 it has no RJ45 LAN connector. The 3 (CMY) color cartridges 1 photo black are larger than the 6 R200 cartridges which ran out frequently. The regular black (for text) is larger yet for more pages/lower cost usage. One feature I would like from Epson would be to have a standard size regular black cartridge (e.g. The 620's 127) for several models so I (and stores) don't have to stock so many cartridges.

This printer took all of 15min to set up and any device in my house was able to find and print all done over the wireless network i was very impressed with the quality of the print.

XP 610 is an excellent all around printer

So far, so good! I have used the print, copy and photo functions, and all are superb. I'm still ironing out some wrinkles relating to wireless operation, but I'm sure that once I figure out how to set it up, that will operate flawlessly as well! I have two computers that are wireless capable, but I guess I'm not -- at least not yet!
I don't much care for the on-line instruction manual. Nor do I like the billboard sized setup instructions. I'm old fashioned, and much prefer a BOOK that I can tab to mark specific information.
I would recommend this to a friend!
