Great phone, lousy battery life

I love the phone. I hate the lack of battery life. I've had to charge it every day, even though I have the display shut off after 10 minutes and the phone goes to "sleep." Can't someone make a battery with longer life?
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: battery

Good phone, better when rooted, not good on battery life

Got this phone in February. It was good when operating on OS 2.1. It's even better when operating on OS 2.2. It sucks on battery life though. My wife and I both have this phone and I can see a difference in battery life between the two OS's. 2.2 lasts longer but not long enough. I recently bought a new 3rd party extended battery and received a "non supported battery cannot charge" message. I bought the battery from Boxwave, a company that I would call reliable. I had another battery from them when I used a blackberry and it was great. "PLEASE ENABLE SUPPORT FOR ALL 3RD PARTY BATTERIES"
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: battery life, no support for 3rd party battery

Operating System is the only down side

Need an update of the operating system. Phone has decent battery life and is quick loading the browser and apps. O/S does not allow you full use of a lot of the newer apps

This was an upgrade from previous Windows based OS smartphone and increase in ease of functionality and appearance was as promised.

Great phone....terrible software support. Still running Android v2.1; unable to download drivers from web site (site keeps looping to beginning: select - Cell Phones, Verizon Wireless Cell Phones, SCH1500, press "select" button, site loops back to the beginning of the loop - Cell Phones. Because of such lousy support I will not consider a Samsung phone in the future

1st Smartphone

Very pleased with the phone and the memory that came with it from the carrier. Screen is gorgeous! Does what I want it to do and more. Only 2 negatives: battery life is terrible and it's still 2.1. Upon reading websites, if the updates continue to come this slow, this will be my last Samsung phone. But - I'm happy with it for now as my first smartphone.

Cons: no 2.2 yet, battery life

Awesome phone, great camera, clear sound quality, nice loud speaker on it as well.. Fast and crisp images, great for entertainment, and connectivity allows for work environment compatibility. It really is a great piece!
