It is probably the most difficult phone I have had in 20 years of cell phones.
Sometimes everything on the screen gets locked up and I can't go anywhere. There are times when I can't even unlock the screen.
Then there are times when I just pick it up to answer it and loose the caller because I have touched something wrong, and I just love it when I put my ear too close to the screen and loose the caller.
Some of the apps are even difficult to use and some directions don't make since.

Great Phone, but... Still running 2.1

The Phone is awesome, its fast, powerful, love it. It would be all 5 stars if it had: a front facing camera, led indicators on front, if Kies was available in US, and most importantly If it wasn't still running Android 2.1. It would also be nice to know wether or not it even will be upgraded to 2.2, especially since Google has already released 2.3. Otherwise love the phone to death.

Sync Contacts

I do love the phone after 3 months but it does not sync from Outlook contacts to the Phone contacts after the initial download of information at startup. All of the other syncs work fine back and forth. I am not sure why they would program the phone like this. The Dialer also only uses the frist name for looking up contacts.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight

My first smart phone and I couldn't be happier. After physically handling over 30 different phones (including the iPhone), the Fascinate was a great decision.
The phone is bigger than I am used to but I quickly became accustomed to it. The display is very clear and crisp, and you can also adjust the brightness.
Because it is Android and a true operating system, it does have a learning curve. After barely a day, though, I am very familiar with where things are. It is logically laid out with the most common features on the home screen.
I have a few apps but have found that what is provided by default suits my particular needs. Still, downloading new apps is quite easy.
People complain about a smart phone's battery life but after talking, texting and using apps for a solid day, I still have power. I am very satisfied with what the battery puts out. I would purchase this phone ten times over.

I have owned an a few Droid phones like the HTC And Motorola brands. But none compare to the Samsung Fascinate. This phone is the best by far. A nice bright display an extremely impressive design. It is simply the best.

What did I do before my Fascinate?

I love, love, love this phone. I missed placed it for about 5-days and was so sad. It has replaced all of my gadgets, the camera with flash takes great photos, I have recorded events at an arena and a small auditorium using the cam corder. I kept waiting for it to shut down, the most I have tried to record has been 8 minutes with sound. No more MP3 player either. It has evertything I need, I can't see myself wanting to use another type phone at this time. Great Product!

The thing that brought me to this phone was the excellent screen (color and brightness). Also the hardware (processor and graphics) were the best when I purchased the phone. I love it!

Cons: plastic back should be metal
