Amazing screen and great phone

This phone really has been excellent for me. I change phones every 14-16 months and this is my first real Samsung smartphone. The sAMOLED screen is what made the deal for me when I compared it to the Droid 2, Droid X and Incredible. Battery life was another key piece.
The only negative is there is something wrong with the GPS functionality. Doesn't work very well. I downloaded an app called GPS Status that seemed to make it a bit better. Hopefully the new software change will fix the issue. All in all I love the device!!

My only gripes would have to be that the front facing camera was (for some odd reason) taken out of the Fascinate, and that it has yet to be upgraded to 2.2. If it contained a front-facing camera, and the update process was more uniform, I would say this is a definite iPhone killer.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, fast, hd, responsive
Cons: no ffc, not running most recent android version

HTC to Samsung Facinate

This phone stands alone in the world of smart phones. I have owned Blackberries and HTC hero and the Galaxy S is by far the best I have ever seen. Chose this over the iPhone because of the android OS and the processor speed is unmatched.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight

Overall awesome phone! I have recommended it to several friends. It is thin and light. I recommend getting some type of case to put it in, though, as it is very slippery by itself (I don't understand why manufacturers like to make things so slippery?) High quality speakerphone.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: no hdmi port

This is the best android phone out to date. It's super fast and responsive. I'm not a fan of the UI so I installed launcher pro from the app market and it's wonderful. My brother owns the droid x and is jealous of the brilliantly done music player <(except that it doesn't have a widget... why samsung, why?) and bright screen on my fascinate. However, it is mid december and Samsung has yet to update to the latest version of android; 2.2/ froyo, that was released all the way back in august!! This shows poor support by Samsung and has me worried about the likely-hood of future updates i.e. Gingerbread, which looks amazing...
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, camera quality (better than droid x)
Cons: display can appear grainy, slow to update to latest version of android, no music player widget, text editing seems outdated... lets go gingerbread

This is my second Android Phone. Droid Eris Was my for and i loved it but I want more out of my phone and I was between this and Droid X.. I dont regret my desicion.. although this phone would've been a pefect phone if it was COMPLETLY GOOGLE!!! Ugh it get kinda annoying the whole BING.. I wish that when 2.2 rolls out that some how i can switch to google search

Cons: bing ughhh

Being a first time smartphone owner & user, I would highly recommend. Easy to use, fantastic screen and excellent fun. Only issue is sometimes the device doesn't always access my saved downloads on the microSD card. However, I just re-boot and it is good to go.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight, design, size
Cons: battery life (when running apps)

I have only had the phone a couple of days but so far it has exceeded my expectations. I previously owned the Motorola Droid first edition, and hated it. This phone is very light weight, fast and has a very bright display. The only thing I would say I could change is the integration of facebook to the contacts, its a little confusing and some of the contacts that also have google accounts are doubled up in your contacts list. But overall so far I really love the phone.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Lightweight
