The Phone feels good in hand, takes awsome Pics and video for just a 5.0 mp camera, Sound quality is just as good as the driods, Screen is crazy beautiful, processes everthing fast, GPS works good, the web loads fast, just all around great phone..
I've been waiting for this phone or something like it for a long while. As a former Driod and Driod 2 owner, I got to say Samsung really did a great jod on this one. I've only had it for a day now, but have been running none stop sense i got it, try to see if i get any of the issues people complian about. Such as Battery Life, Lagg time, Shuting down, GPS problems....ect and so far i've been trying to kill this phone with apps, texting, calls, games, useing google maps, Pics, videos, web browser... and it's passing with flying colors. So far I'm lovin this phone.
I've been waiting for this phone or something like it for a long while. As a former Driod and Driod 2 owner, I got to say Samsung really did a great jod on this one. I've only had it for a day now, but have been running none stop sense i got it, try to see if i get any of the issues people complian about. So far I'm lovin this phone.
As of right now my only issue is no 2.2 Upgrade yet. 2.2 has been out for months now and some phones are being sold with it on them. Yet none of the Galaxy S phone have it. Whats the deal? If there this slow with 2.2, we'll never see Gingerbread 2.3 upgrade. And where's Media Hub at??
I'll update review in a few weeks.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, sound quality, picture and video, proccessor
Cons: no 2.2 up grade yet!, no front facing camera, could've added a little more memory

Nice Phone, but it needs some improvements made!

In moving from a phone with half screen and half buttons, to this Fascinate phone, I am overall very happy with the phone. However, there are some things that are troublesome, that need to be improved upon.
Here are the areas I have problems with:
Buttons:
1) the button to turn it on is hard to find in the dark or without looking at it. On the positive side, that also means that it doesn’t stick out, and then is hard to accidentally hit.
2) The buttons along the bottom (options, home, back, and search) are too hard to find. In the dark you have to guess where they are. It would be better if they were either lit up, or were raised up so that you can find them.
3) The volume button is in the way when I turn the phone to the side to view things with a wider view. I am left-handed, and I suspect that this is not an issue for right-handed people. But it would be better if this button was located down more, in the middle of the left side, rather than where it is.

Phone calls: The screen blanks out after a few seconds into a call. Just long enough to get to the automated system that says press 1 for English—but you now can’t see the phone buttons, and have to find that ON button again. There are settings for a timeout of how long the screen is on without activity, but this setting doesn’t apply to when you are making a phone call, and so far, I have not been able to find another setting for making it stay lit up longer.
Email Issues: 1) There is no program available for syncing up your Contacts, Calendar, and Tasks in Outlook (while using a POP3 account. I am used to most other smart phones that have a program to do that, and this is a big issue for anyone using Outlook for their email--at least non corporate Outlook. It is amazing that no one told me that certain things like contacts require that you have a Gmail account, for populating them on the phone.
2) I do like the feature of being able to look at multiple email accounts in one combined email display. However, I am worried about the reliability of my email on this phone. I keep finding emails in Outlook that didn’t make it to my phone for some reason. You need to be aware that if you move items from your Inbox in Outlook (for instance through a rule), or that you have the email account’s advanced settings set to “remove from server when deleted and removed from the deleted items”, that those things can affect what email you get on the phone. With these items taken into account though, I still don’t know why some emails don’t make it to my phone. And, it is not a size issue.

Otherwise, I like the phone display, and it is pretty fast most of the time. The speed and display are things that set it apart from the other smart phones I looked at.
Samsung--please develop a program for syncing up Outlook to the phone!!!

problem after problem

I have had this phone less than two months and have experienced nothing but problems since I purchased it. It freezes, force closes, has never vibrated since I got it even though I have it set to "always" vibrate, the sound is horrible for the person on the other end...basically it's just awful. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Love this phone. Only drawback so far is the battery life- very short, even when using task manager to end any applications that may be running. Otherwise my favorite phone I've owned up to now.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: battery life

I can tell you that the phone looks great and has plenty of functions but the longer I have mine the problems I keep having. Right now I can't get my bluetooth to connect after I have been using my bluetooth since I got the phone. Its shuts down the web all the time. It freezes ans I have to take out the battery. Also at times I will push the power button to go tot the black screen and it wont work. To say the least as soon as I can change phones I will. Its sad I recommend samsung to everyone but I LOVE there products but this one is a real bust.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Loved this phone when I first got it(10 months ago). Now it nothing but a royal pain, it is constantly freezing up. I have to pull the battery to reboot it. Then who knows how long till the next freeze 5 minutes or an hour.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
