Fix the GPS issue and push the 2.2 update out and you get 5 stars. The GPS failure to connect is getting old.

THE BUTTON ON THE SIDE TO TURN THE SCREEN ON AND OFF IT IS DIFFICULT TO REACH WITHOUT HITTING THE VOLUME BUTTON. OTHER THAN THAT I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color

I have the Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate and I love it. Works well, very fast, and hardly ever get's stuck like my blackberry storm used to do. Could be a little bit cheaper, but overall. it's a great phone and I'm a happy customer!
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: speakers aren't that loud., expensive

What a great phone! Very fast and easy to use but that's what you can expect from Android based phone! Has all the features you need in a phone and more! The only con would be that it comes with Droid 2.1 but it is getting the 2.2 update soon. Highly recomended!
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight, slim profile, 4.0 inch screen, 720p video, mobile hotspot
Cons: doesn't come with droid 2.2

A very honest opinion

I attempted to be unbiased and give a very honest opinion on the phone. I moved up to this phone after using the Droid, Droid X, HTC Incredible, the Incredible being my last phone. It was tough to try to move from the Incredible to the Fascinate. The screen is amazing, and it's pretty snappy with it's program opening and running but the Droid 2.1 is so antiquated. I'm pretty sure I'm going to end up with the Incredible again. You can't go back from that phone to this. I'm stuck with bing, I don't have the personalization options the Incredible does as well and the HTC Sense software was pretty great. I've had a Samsun Omnia and loved that phone, and I'm pretty disappointed that Samsung/Google Android let this product debut wearing shackles that just slow it down.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, droid 2.1 !!!!

"Droid" Alternative

I've had this phone for about a month now and I was initially appealed to the design and size. The 4" screen seems to be a sweet spot between the exageratted 4.3" and the 3.7"that is just a tad on the small size. Android OS is excellent but I wish that Samsung would roll out 2.2 Froyo OS. The only gripe I have about the phone is that the GPS sometimes seems to take a long time to initialize when using the navigation. Otherwise it is a great phone!

Overall this is a very good phone. I am hoping that Android 2.2 fixes a lot of issues. I am disappointed about the poor engineering on accessories (i.e. batteries) and chargers.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive
Cons: poor accessories
