Very nice phone..

Beautiful display, elegant design, with very fast and capable processor. Would have loved a bit more ram (325mb) thorough the 14gb sd card (included) is nice to have. Friends can’t help but stare at the well lit and vibrant screen.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: no android 2.2 for fascinate yet, gps isn't accurate, less than 1/2gb of ram
I would recommend this to a friend!

Needs 2.2 update

I was in love with this phone, until my husband was able to get the 2.2 update on his droid and I wasn't on my fascinate. Now I can't get my yahoo e-mail on the phone or some other apps that need the 2.2. Sorely disappointed!!! I wouldn't rec. this phone to any one until this problem is fixed. You think you are buying the best but you are not, go for a droid at least they keep up to date on their phones....
Pros: Lightweight
Cons: no update (2.2)

Slow for email. Battery stinks. The HD video is a pain to send to email and it has to be converted. Freezes up all the time. Sofeware is slow. Speakers crackel after about 2 months. I wish i never got it. Swipe always spells wrong words. I shut that off. No LED alert. Its worth an investment to get another phone I can trust when I need it. I will smash this piece of junk with a hammer when I do. The charger cable weighs the top of the phone when trying to text so you need 2 hands or it flips out.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, nice paper weight
Cons: Poor quality, can't use video email files to big, freezes up alot, no led alert, battery life stinks, super slow email

Love the phone, love the features, the battery life is terrible and I want the VERIZON 2.2 Upgrade asap.

I wish I would have done a little more research. Samsung isn't updating this phone to the newest Android OS. Some games and apps won't work without Android 2.2. Go read the rumors online, if those rumors are true, the least they could do is give the owners of the phones the choice to pay to update it. Unless they change this soon I will not be buying anymore Samsung products.
Cons: Did not meet expectations

Stop stalling with Android 2.2!

The Samsung Galaxy S (Fascinate) is a beautiful phone still running an incomplete, retro 2.1 Android operating system that has a lot of bugs. Tell Verizon and Samsung to work out the compensation for the upgrade and do it, already.
I've spent five times more time trying to understand, use, modify, and add apps to it than I have using it. Part of that is me--a Boomer--with her first Smart phone, but my hubby has an iPhone and just chuckles with smug joy as he watches me try to get my Exchange email to work correctly.
I don't recommend anyone buy an Android phone from Samsung until they agree to release Android 2.2 on the Fascinate.

I have had this phone for a week now and it is really nice. I am new to smartphones and this one really makes it easy to learn. It is very intuitive and great to move around on. It is a great phone for the cost. The only thing I found is that battery does not last very long.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Lightweight
Cons: battery runs low fast
I would recommend this to a friend!
