Hardware wise, this phone is excellent. The hard buttons could be a little more solid, but i am used to the build quality of motorola. My main downside of this phone is the same as everyone else's. why would you lock out google search on a device that is based on the operating system from google without giving you a choice? I cant stand it. Also, Bring on the froyo.
Cons: Did not meet expectations, bing

I had been waiting rather impatiently for this phone and was very very impressed and satisfied beyond words. I am concerned about not getting many bars, where as my Moto Droid 1 never had less than 4 bars in my townhouse. That being said, call quality is far superior and I can hear and be heard during calls. The only faux pas I can see is your decision to remove Google...this doesnt make sense for an android phone. Please correct this.
Coming from the Droid 1 and 2 both, I find my new Fascinate a good replacement. There are many features on the Motorola's I will miss, but not enough to return to them. I think with a couple upgrades on this device, such as 2.2 software and a better base-band to increase the signal strength of the phone, this will become an industry leader. Being able to see my phone outside was the main reason I got it and the screen is absolutely amazing in that regard. I look forward to using this phone for a long time.
Cons: low signal strength, unable to turn off service area notification, speaker is a bit muffled

A fantastic phone, though software improvements are needed. This phone does not seem to support easy syncing with Microsoft Outlook, and phone contacts are not easily updated by Facebook. Even the iPod Touch syncs contacts more easily. However, this is a fantastic purchase for the money. HIGH RECOMMEND!
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: does not sync easily with outlook, does not easily sync facebook photos with contacts
I would recommend this to a friend!

Switched from the original Blackberry Storm, to this device and the usability, functionality, and overall experience have been far and away better than my Storm. Excellent phone, I would definitely recommend this phone to anyone in the market for a great smart phone.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color
Cons: bing search standard on phone
I would recommend this to a friend!

A great Droid for all the droid reasons. Everything works very well.
However, i am struggling with the casual nature of the design-- My bberry had Email, IM, Text and calls all in the same combined list. It is annoying to have to go to 4 different places to "check in".
It wasn't long ago that i was a basic flip phone user. I thought i didn't need a fancy phone and definitely felt as if i wouldn't be able to utilize enough features to make the cost worth it.
I WAS WRONG!!!!!
Day one was a slow process getting all my account information set up in between meetings and kids, but once all that was set up and i had a few custom apps to keep me entertained, I was hooked! Now i can keep in touch and on the go all the time. Walking from the parking lot to work, i can check on my kids via text and check my emails. All alert me when i have something waiting, so there is no searching for the important pieces of information that are waiting.
Since day two, i have been making my family happy with current pictures from the phone as well as with updates on my daily life that used to only go out when i had spare time at home.
It is AWESOME! I love it! I will ALWAYS have a smart phone from here on out!!!!!
