This Phone Kills the iPhone

Love, Love, Love this phone...only wish that Verizon would have shipped with the 2.2 Froyo update, but that is no fault of Samsung. Beautiful color display, easy to use.
My only complaint is that the phone was shipped without a user's manual and I had to call Samsung to get one mailed to me, since I don't want to read 150+ pages online. Other than that "flaw", I LOVE this phone!
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight

Best Touch Screen Phone I ever had

This is the arguably the best touch screen smartphone I ever had. I used Iphone and Motorola Droid in the past. But this phone is a combination of the best features of both iphone and Droid.

Exceeding expectations

I upgraded from a Samsung Messenger to the Fascinate. This phone may be the best gadget I have ever purchased.
Voice and data performance are good. The Swype technology is just incredable.
My only complaint is that the default video down load quality is fairly poor compaired to the competition. I have been told this is an issue that Android 2.2 will fix. We'll see soon I hope.
The phone is occationaly slow and I've encountered a couple of bugs but nothing to the extent that takes away from how good this phone really performs.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, swype technology
Cons: default video quality
I would recommend this to a friend!

Poor support, non-functional GPS

I've owned this phone since for approximately 4 months. Was advised on purchase that updates to Android 2.2 would be forthcoming and would fix GPS issue (GPS takes up to ten minutes to lock on). There still is no date listed for release of Froyo on this phone, Samsung have just been at CES show demonstrating new phones with Gingerbread (2.3) while I am stuck on 2.1 with barely functional GPS. At this time there are Google apps in the marketplace that require 2.2 to function.
I will not purchase Samsung mobile products in the future, nor will I recommend them to others.
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The phone is nice on the outside, but when you get down to it, this phone is majorly lacking. For one, the 2.2 update has STILL not been released despite the fact that most other smart phones on the market are all functioning on it. The lack of Flash Player REALLY limits this phone and the things it could be capable of. I made this purchase deciding between the Fascinate and the Droid X, and was never told once that 2.2 had not been released...
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations, no flash player, no 2.2 update as of 2/19/11
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Phone is great but won't connect to computer...

I love the feature of the phone but have not been able to connect on Vista and Win7 machines. I have turned off USB debugging and reseated the SD card but when I attach to the PC Windows says "Unrecognized USB Device". When using the VCast application and try to Connect to Device it fails.
So other than the computer connection issue seems to be a great phone... except I don't use it as a phone. I use this strictly for personal media and the web. The web part works but since I can't connect to the computer.....
This is still a brand new phone, just released a few days ago. Hopefully a fix will be out soon.

Awesome Phone, great flexibility

From streaming media, to managing multiple email accounts, to printing directly from the phone, this wifi enabled smart phone is great. I've always been a blackberry purist, and have had just about every one. I was skeptical to purchase, but am now pleased. My only problem with it is the battery life, standby is fine, but while using many of the resource hungry applications, it tends to have a shorter battery life. I have heard that there are aftermarket higher capacity batteries, which would be nice, but I feel they may have sacrificed a little of the battery length for the shier thinness of this device. It is a great phone, an amazing screen, and lots of capabilities, easily expanded with an app or two.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, wifi, great image, fast processor, decent included memory
Cons: battery consumption

Best phone I've ever had!

I had the iphone and then another android phone before switching to the Fascinate. This is by far the best phone I have ever had. Most of the apps are identical to my iphone apps. LOVE this phone. Would recommend to everyone.
