This phone is incredible. It 'Fascinates' me! I made the mistake of not getting insurance on this phone but it has yet to haunt me. Last winter this phone spent 4 days encased in ice in my parking lot and worked just fine when I finally found it and got it thawed. This past July I went swimming with it in my swim trunks pocket for 2 and a half hours in a public swimming pool. I was in town visiting family so the 3 days I had since the swim wasn't enough for it to dry. I left it at my sisters house and used an old blackberry I had. Just a couple weeks after I left my brother-in-law decided to tinker with it. He put the battery in and it turned right on no problems. The watermarks are long gone but the phone works like day one. I love it, Love It, LOVE IT! The only thing I can say bad about this phone is that it loves to randomly push the back button for me without my help. Other than that occasional hiccup this phone is my dream phone!
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, almost waterproof
I would recommend this to a friend!

Superb Cell Phone

I have used any cell phone over the years and can honestly say this is the best I have ever had. Clear sound quality, fast and easy to use.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight

Still Happy a Year Later

I bought the Samsung Fascinate SCH-i500 a year ago and it is still receiving stellar reviews. The calls are clear; the phone is fast and user friendly. The display receives comments from everyone. It can easily be set up to work on my wireless system at home, or out at coffee shops, which speeds up performance and saves minutes. My sons said, "Wait until you see something that hits the spot before you buy." This was the one. It is my only home phone; I have switched from my PC calendar and use the android calendar for all appointments. It is my GPS and, using streaming audio services, it is my music in the car. I have downloaded a thesaurus, an atlas and a few other books from an e-reader. I have put the user’s manual for the phone and my car in another app which synchs to my PC. In short, I can't imagine being without this phone. Fantastic!
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, perfect size, great accessories covers, i can use my own ringtones
I would recommend this to a friend!

Slow and Steady

I was really excited for the release of this product. I did extensive research on all products being introduced into the market during the time I was looking so that I could make the best choice to fit my needs.
The good: This phone is extremely light and thin. Sometimes I forget it's in my pocket! The SUPERAMOLED screen offers rich and crisp colors that look absolutely beautiful(now other manufactures are integrating this screen into their products). The interface is very unique, interactive, and all around attractive compared to other devices (fitting a puzzle piece to unlock the screen, thats just plain neat!)
The cons: I am on my 3rd device. The GPS freezes and i'm constantly having to take the battery out to restart it (wont let me power down). The home keys flash when i'm making a call (like its shorting out, i'm just waiting for it to shock me!) The screen will all the sudden go black while the home keys are still lit causing me once again to take the battery out. It constantly runs media and SD card checks(which my previous 2 didn't), often when i'm in the middle of something. And this is the biggest problem: The phone likes to go back to the home screen by itself, as if I am pushing the back button. This is extremely frustrating when i'm right in the middle of composing an e-mail or text message causing me to start all over if it doesn't auto save. Also, I cant tell you how many screen shots I have of my home page(screen shots require you to push and hold the back button and click the camera/lock button). It does this all on its own.
I was really happy for about the first month I had this phone, then it all started to go downhill.
I own other samsung products that I have been very much happy with (flat screens, blue ray players). I just think Samsung has a few kinks to work out in their mobile products before I would consider purchasing another device from them.

Worst phone ever

I had 3 replacements and all had the same problems, Crashes, wont turn on, freezing issues.
Cons: Poor quality, Not high def, Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

When it came out it was one the best ones out there. Of course now with all the advances it lags behind. Overall it has and still is a great phone.

Cons: needs more ram like other phones on the market

WISH BACK WAS ENGRAVEABLE

WOULD HAVE LIKED TO ENGRAVED NAME ON PRODUCTS. IN ADDITION WISH THERE WERE MORE SOUND PRODUCTS TO PAIR THE DEVICES WITH.
