I am an electronics junkie. I can't wait to get the latest phones, tv's, etc....I have had almost every brand of phone there is, my last 3 were the HTC EVO, IPHONE 4, and the Motorola Atrix. Last summer I purchased a new samsung 52" lcd tv and blue ray player after a lot of shopping and researching and I have to say....WOW!!!! The picture on that tv was amazing, if the box would have said 3D I would've believed it. That being said, I borrowed a friends Samsung Mesmerize while I was waiting on a warranty replacement for another phone that I had. The screen/picture on the phone was very close to quality of the tv i had. I was hooked after that, it even rivaled the IPHONE 4, if not beat it in quality. After that I purchased my latest phone, a Samsung Fascinate through my cell phone carrier and am very satisfied. Even though specs may be better on some other phones out there, its only on paper. In actual use it works as good if not better then any other phone i've had or used and the screen/picture quality beats anything i've used. Way to go Samsung, I cant wait to see your next phone for my service provider. Keep up the good work!!!!!!!!
The design and features of the phone are great and customizable but I have had nothing but problems with my phone.
I know others who have the same phone and absolutely love it. However, I'm on my second phone and waiting for the third within a two week period because it won't send/receive texts, phone calls, or voicemails on any sort of regular schedule. It also force closes applications so I can't do anything at all sometimes and sometimes won't lock.
I hope that my experience is a fluke but wanted to post about it in case anyone else is having the same chronic problems with theirs as well.
I also understand that people are more likely to write reviews when something is bad instead of when it is good (myself clearly included) and there are many great features about the phone.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight, large screen, customizable
Cons: force close apps, connectivity
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

When I first received my Samsung I500 I was doubtful because I always used a keyboard before. But the big bright display has plenty of room for my large fingers. This phone does everything I need it to, and with access to the android market it goes much further. I can think of no better tool to stay connected to home and work and have a little fun on the side too. I'd recommend the Samsung I500 to anyone.
i just got this phone like a month or two ago and it is always frezing takeing screenshot when its not supposed to basically doing everything its not supposed to. SAMSUNG I LOVE THIS PHONE BUT FIX IT PLEASE!!
Endless stability issues from the latest OTA update. Screens that close because the phone 'thinks' you hit the back button, the inability to shut the screen down about 70% of the time due to the phone believing the back button is being held down.
TERRIBLE phone reception, I've stood next to a Droid X and they get 4-5 bars while I get 2 or 3 at best. Phone calls go through pretty well but lately for some reason call quality has dropped to where voices sound all scratchy and distorted.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, the screen was the biggest selling point for me, ability to shoot 720p hd video, high resolution camera\w optical zoom
Cons: Poor quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I got this phone because of the amoled screen hype and it was all it cracked up to be. The android layout was also acceptable... However the OS software has leaves much to be. Desired. Samsung makes great hardware. .. But if the software does not start working a little more fluidly i am going back to motorola. I just upgraded to the charge... Last chance Samsung.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: Did not meet expectations, software is not solid
