just switched from an LG env3 they have updated the graphics which has slowed the processing speed down not a bad phone but the env3 moved alot faster with less hoopla! they have made some other changes to the menu configurations and access to make them more techy which just seem to make it more annoying. It is harder to navigate messaging which is the biggest drawback to this phone. The reception on this phone is still good and they finally fixed the problem with the battery.
Pros: signal strength
I would recommend this to a friend!

It has a great camera, qwerty keyboard, can send pics to email, and THE BEST PART...... It has been submerged in water 2 times and it it amazingly STILL WORKS! The font size can be adjusted so without my glasses I can see it. It is very easy to use, small, and light weight! My 2 year contract is up in July and I plan to keep this phone until it dies on me. It's till has the original battery and has good life. I am a big texted and it's easy to use! I use the calendar function as much as anything and the beep reminder is annoying but has saved me many times! I love this phone and am disappointed to see that it is discontinued.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I'm a 16 year old girl who does about 10,000 texts in a month. I've had this phone for about 2 years and I love it. When I read reviews so many people said that this phone has bad battery life, news flash, it doesn't! I charge my phone once a day and it lasts all day. THERE ARE NO ECHO PROBLEMS. The camera is a great working camera. Another great thing about this phone is that NO DATA PLAN WAS REQUIRED. This is one of the best phones ever. The only problems were that the front screen scratches alot if it's dropped too many times, but IT DOESN'T CRACK. I can still read messages but it may be difficult at times. But, if you don't drop your phone, it shouldn't be a problem. If you don't want it to scratch then don't change cases all the times. Simple. Also at random points it restarts but it does that like once every two months, not a problem, just take out the battery and put it back in. People say that the ringtone volume isn't loud but you can either 1.) Choose a louder ringtone or 2.) Change the setting making it so your phone will vibrate AND ring so if you don't hear the call, you'll feel it. Overall this is a great phone. ☺

I don't need a smart phone, just need to place and receive calls, take a few pictures and text when people don't answer calls. This phone is all I need. I have had this phone for over three years, it's been in the swimming pool and hot tub and dropped numerous times and it is still working. You can't ask for a more dependable phone. I highly recommend it.

I was looking for the best phone available that didn't require a data plan, and this has not disappointed. It's fast, easy to use, light, takes good pictures and has clear conversation quality! The full keyboard is small, but after a few days you get used to it and now I type very quickly on it with rare mistakes. I would recommend this to anyone not looking for the full-feature SMART phones. LG has always made great products and I will continue buying from them.

Worst volume ever!

Who in the world would design a phone with the speakers on the inside??! No matter how loud the volume is on this Octane, you will miss your calls for SURE!!! The only good feature is the camera. Do not buy this phone if you want to hear it ringing closed or out of your sight!!! By the way, I have used LG phones in the past, but this particular one has issues.

I love this phone it is the best phone I ever had, I t is easy to use and The battery last longer then most. I have one big problem with this phone it is this is a message phone but I am tired having to delete my text after like 351 text that is my big issue with this phone. But other wise I love the phone

This is THE WORST phone I have EVER had! If I could have given it negative stars I would have! I am in a contract with Verizon Wireless and I have been sent 4 different LG Octane phones over the past year. They all have similar problems: phone powering down when you send a text message with an emoticon, powering down at random, powering down during phone call, powering down when sending a plain text message, lighting up at random (wasting battery), and the end button not working AT ALL (you can't turn the thing on/off or end a call without taking the battery out- which takes SEVERAL times of doing that before the phone powers back on). Do NOT waste your money on this phone, you will be extremely frustrated!
Pros: worst phone ever
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
