Where's the volume

I bought two of these phone for my wife and me. I like the keyboard but would someone PLEASE turn up the volume! I can just barely hear the ring tones unless the phone is on my belt and right in front of me. Call volume isn't much better unless you have the phone opened up and using the speaker phone,

Nice phone except......

Not much point in reviewing a discontinued phone except maybe the next model will be better. Good phone for texting, calling and everything I need it for. Major issue is that the phone speakers are on the inside and I miss so many calls because I can't hear the phone ring even with the volume turned all the way up. I drive a truck and that doesn't help either. Quality of phone is very good and I've had no issues with it. Phone features are also very good.
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use, Quality

Great Phone

My wife and I just got two of these phones. We read the reviews posted on our carriers website and it only appeared to us that the phones that were not "Smart Phones" got lower ratings. Smart phones have thier place but can not be used in comparison. As a Phone I give this phone high ratings. It has clear sound, great picture/video options and quality, really nice Texting features and even has a document viewer which is a asset to us at work. As for the echo complaint we see on these reviews, we found ours clear and no echo if we left the "voice clairity" option off. If we enabled it we got echo and off we didn't. The only design flaw I see is the location of the camera in relation to the ok button to snap a picture. Your fingers cover the lense if not careful. This is a very nice phone to use in the place of often fragile and buggie "Smart Phones" which in many ways remind me of the brick phone in size.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality

Good phone

I chose this phone primarily for its flip keyboard. I couldn't text with the regular keypad. I did need to exchange the first phone because of an echoing problem heard by those I called. The replacement has been great. I find it easy to use and texting has become second nature. The numbers are large enough to see with my less than 20/20 vision!
Pros: easy to use

This is the best phone I've ever owned.Yes the ringtones may not be loud,but I don't want everyone to hear my phone.I was sad to hear it was discontinued.I found the last 2 a store had and upgraded to the same phone.I really hope LG makes a phone like this one again.

This is a great messaging phone- the keys are nice and big as well as the screen. after about a year that ive had it, it got really scratched on the front screen and the camera which made the pictures horrible. Also some of they keys would not work and you have to press it again and again really hard to get it to function. Other thank that its okay. Its easy to use and you can enlarge the print and change the font.

texting issues

When sending a text the icon with the check to notify you that the text was received does not work. I like to know that my kids did get my texts when I send them, and now I have to open the sent message and check the bottom of the message to see if it was received; which is an extra step when I use to be able to just look at the icon on my old LG

Echo very bad

I have had 3 LG Octane phones in the last couple months and still have a bad echo on the other end. They say that this is the first time they heard of the echo. I am bring it back again tomorrow, because my friends that call get their voice echo through the whole conversation. This phone is just not worth the trouble.
