Unbelievable picture and work space

I am a programmer and the 3440 x 1440 is an awesome resolution. Lots of workspace without the split screen divisions.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, Quality

Great monitor but not Mac friendly !

Hi,
Buy these days this monitor as an owner of a mac and you 'll see mac compatible...
Although El capitan has been unleashed early september this year, 10 th of december LG still did not release any Screen split program for mac users.
As a consequence, only two windows available so far on my screen, not an inch from what windows have...
Even the CD within do not provide anything for mac users except the instruction manual

So when LG shoots with Mac compatible, shouldn't they stick instead with "Mac tolerated" anyway LG when do you release at least the EL capitan Mac user program, you 're 4 months beyond, guys !
13 days left for me in France as a customer commerce ode to return it back to the store of nothing happens or if still no constructive feed back from LG customer service is received

Very fine monitor

I mostly use this monitor for everyday email and Microsoft Office tasks, and for Photoshop and Lightroom. It is attached to my Surface Pro 3. I have not watched much video, but what I have seen is very good.
It's color rendition, detail and visibility is great. I often use Windows 8.1 split screen (not the split screen feature of the monitor)
If I could have extra features in the monitor, they would be : control by software from the computer; higher quality speakers; and ability to turn down the screen brightness more than the lowest setting currently available.
I'm very glad I bought this monitor.

Best monitor I ever got in my life

If BMW claims to build the ultimate driving machines, LG should claim to build the ultimate monitors.
This is truly the best monitor that I ever had. The aspect ratio is the perfect one for large desktop surface area to open many programs and windows at the same time and yet not to compromize on the font size. I tested a few 32 inch 4K monitor prior to this LG monitor, and this is much better than any of the 4K I tested. With the 4K monitors, the pixel density might be a bit higher but that makes the standard font size too small to be read.

Nice to watch movies, but

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this Display as a Christmasgift. First I connected my Blue Ray Player and it worked great. No Black boxes above and below the screen.
But then I'm trying to connect my 15" MacBook Pro (Mid 2009) and it didn't work.

Now a week later. I'm trying it to connect with my 13" MacBook Pro (mid 2014) and Is not starting at all. Hope they can replace it quick.
Because It was wonderfull when it worked....

Overall, I would recommend this monitor to anyone wanting to buy an ultra wide IPS solution for a non team coordinated environment. Really, in that case there are too many trade offs for utilizing a curved display. Its very good for gaming, watching movies, and other general tasks that only require one person to be looking at a screen at once. Its quite good for such applications; however, its still below where it should be in terms of the quality you're receiving for the price. Like the 34UM95, there are still back light bleeding issues.
Personally curved monitors just aren't for me. I ended up returning the product shortly after. I still don't get the curve craze, especially for a monitor like this where people will most likely be using it for sharing media with teammates and employees.
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
