Amazing monitor!

After months of research I chose LG for an external display because of the company's affiliation with Apple. As a digital designer, I need a large monitor with great display, and the LG 34UC97 seemed like the perfect option. Beautiful curve, modern design, awesome cable management, and an easy to use desktop app with OnScreen Control functions and fast performance. Thank you LG!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are big white corners appeared during using this monitor. After two years now I can see bigger and bigger streaks on the middle of monitor. Looks like dust from inside. Definitely I do not reccomend to spend so much money for this monitor. I regret it, becasue warranty is gone now

Nice display. No Mac Keyboard control for audio

Nice display. Love the real estate.
My only negative so far: Mac OSX Yosemite does not control sound volume for built in monitor speakers via keyboard (apparently no hardware control support built into monitor). I am connected to monitor via Thunderbolt.

Fantastic Monitor

Have had this awesome monitor for about 2 months now, it is just fantastic. It is replacing two 24" monitors and does it perfectly. No more seams, everything just flows. Sharpest picture I have ever seen on a computer monitor. Yes, it's pricy, and the paperwork is not in english, but it is by far, the best monitor I have ever had.

Great monitor!

I am upgrading from the flat version of this monitor; I wanted to see if the curved screen helped with visibility of the edges. I'm happy to report the curvature is just about perfect and the edges seem to be just as close as the center of the display. (And measuring confirms this.)
The overall display is stunning and has great High DPI font rendering on my MacBook Pro over Thunderbolt. The USB works perfectly, but has one less port so beware that you'll be only able to plug two USB devices into the monitor.
On the downside, the audio is still pretty bland and I won't be putting down my headphones anytime soon. Also, still no easy access volume controls, and the Mac audio device does not allow for volume adjustment.
Finally, back light bleed. There is a slight bleed in the corners but it isn't noticable (to me) when working or watching a movie, but to some it may be distracting.

No regrets, recommend this monitor

I use this monitor for digital photo editing and finances. The first requires accurate color rendition and the second the ability to open multiple documents that are large enough to be usable when placed side by side. I'm not a gamer but have a high end Windows 8.1 system and dedicated nVidia graphics card. This monitor has met and exceeded my expectations in that I feared documents would be stretched and distorted to fill the screen. I have not seen any distortion despite its 21:9 format. Word and Excel documents fill the screen but maintain their dimensions, there is more margin on the sides. It is bright with vivid colors and crisp to my eye and I don't see significant back light bleeding on my monitor. It seems uniformly black on the edges and corners. If you have extra cash, go for it.

Multi Function Monitor
