Amazing monitor!

Bought this monitor based off a YouTube review I watched on it for its enhanced productivity features with the split screens and am loving it. Also really enjoy watching tv and movies on it. Not to mention it's a very sharp looking monitor. The only con I've noticed is the four corners have backlight bleed when on a black screen. I will contact LG to see if this can be fixed. Besides that the monitor is great but the price is very expensive. Really cool to watch movies or anything in 21:9 aspect ratio. I'm not a gamer but I'm sure it would be amazing on this monitor.

Great for programmers and office personnel

This is a wide monitor, and I intended to use it for software development. I want to have several panels of information available at the same time. I use Visual Studio. This monitor is perfect for that.
For other office works who may use programs like Excel, and need to view wide spreadsheets, or who use Word and need to see several documents side-by-side at the same time, this would be good.
I rated it average on features because the stand lacks a rotation in the horizontal plane and cannot raise or lower the monitor. But that can be coped with. I rated it average on value because it is expensive.
I tried to use a 4K monitor, but even with my powerful video card, the 4K monitor was not compatible. This monitor works first time without drama. That was a relief.
For those who are wondering, the curve is actually nice. It improves readability of material near the edges. I wish it were even more severe a curve so as to aim each pixel directly at my eyes, no matter which spot I'm looking at. . But we need time for these designs to be accepted and to mature. This is a great initial offering.
Pros: Performance, easy to use

Amazing Wide Screen Monitor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this monitor when it first appeared on the market, I did as much research as I could first. I wanted to get away from using two monitors side by side, but I need the width to have two complete pages open side by side.
This monitor is very good, it needs to be set up correctly though. The issue which some photographer mentioned in a review here about a image distorting when being dragged from one side of the screen to the other occurs when the video card is set to 50 hz, but does not occur at all when set to 60 hz.
I have read users complain of excessive back-light bleed, I can only say that I have never noticed that myself.
Movies on this screen are amazing as the wide aspect ratio matches that of blu-ray movies.
The only downside is that it does require a powerful computer or video card. I used to connect this to my Macbook Air, the air supports the resolution perfectly but the fans come on a lot which suggest that that video card is working overtime to support the resolution of this monitor. It works fine on a Mac Mini though.
Sound is OK, but not as good as a moderately cheap set of powered speakers.
Overall this is the best monitor I have ever used and better in my opinion than my IMac 27"

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I primarily use this monitor for flight simming using Lockheed Martin's P3D Flight Simulator . Combine this monitor with my Nvidia 1080 8mb and you have outstanding picture and scenery quality . It has made a tremendous difference in my flight simming . If you deal with graphics , photos and hundreds of other uses you will be amazed .

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For many years I've been cluttering my desk with multiple 22" monitors with a big over sized stand to hold them. Not to mention the special adapter to connect them to my notebook with lots of cables. I've been in the market for an upgrade and when I saw this monitor at a trade show, I was sold!. Excellent out of box experience to set up and I can not have multiple programs open and so easy to drag and drop when creating presentations and reports. I can't live without it! Picture quality/resolution is amazing. Great for videos and gaming.
