My dream appliance

I cannot wait until this holiday season so I can make tons of cookies and cakes! I’ve used it for many things already and can’t believe how much easier and faster it has made it to make my family the yumminess they crave.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I simply love my Kitchenaid 5 qt stand mixer! The 5qt bowl is large enough to accommodate doubled recipes and strong enough to use for kneading my homemade bread. I bought this to replace the same model I'd used for 13 years (which still worked great) but I recently remolded my kitchen. My appliances now are all Stainless so I wanted the color of my Kitchenaid to reflect that. (My "old" Kitchenaid was red.) Plus I wanted the glass bowl, and the Sugar Pearl Silver color is gorgeous! (PS. Over the years I've acquired an extra 5qt & 3qt Kitchenaid stainless bowls which can both be used with this mixer. Their base is exactly same as the glass bowl.)

Very Disappointed!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased my mixer on 10/30/24. It was purchased as a replacement for my 20 year-old Kitchenaid gifted to me Christmas 2004. That mixer had recently begun to lose power, hence the reason for the new purchase. Honestly I wish I had my old one back. This new one is awful! It's no where near as powerful and on only the second use the power button will not turn the motor off. I had to unplug it to stop the motor. Dangerous! The mixer construction isn't even close to what my old one was and it is supposed to be an upgrade. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
