Broken glass bowl

I’ve had my bowl and mixer several years but don’t use it that often. Today while making cookies with my four year old, the glass bowl shattered while mixing the butter. My butter was quite hard, but I didn’t think anything like this could happen. Nobody got hurt, but my son got scared and started crying. I wanted the glass bowl for the aesthetics, but I think I will switch to the metal bowls now.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Three Lemons

I bought this mixer 1 1/2 months ago. I tried to make cookie dough but the unit made a terrible grinding noise. I exchanged it for another and tried to make pizza dough. The head lock kept vibrating off causing the head to bounce wildly as it was kneading. Took it back to the store and got another one. Unpacked it and started to make cookie dough only to find the spring on the paddle post was missing. The paddle won't stay on without it. Sending this unit back and will try again. If this one is a bust, then I give up. I must say that I really like that they got rid of the aluminum paddle and replaced it with a coated one. KA's quality control is not what it used to be. Still, I have gone through two others in my lifetime and I still want another.

No available shield

This glass bowl looks pretty BUT you cannot get a shield for it and things fly all over the place out of the bowl. Otherwise I think it's a good machine. I don't feel I should have to spend money on a different bowl just so things Don't splash out of it.

Awesome holiday cookies dough mixer!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just bought this stand mixer because my hand mixer broke down and I wanted to upgrade my kitchen tools for a while already. I read all the reviews and I have to admit they are right on point! This stand mixer is a powerful, beautiful very convenient tool I should have bought a long time ago already! Making my holiday cookies this year was a blast! I doubled the dough from the previous years because I didn’t have to do it with my hands anymore. The stand mixer comes with a dough hook and its powerful engine works the dough through like soft butter. No clumps of flour or butter left. Even though I did not softened the butter before. I was really impressed!!! I think I will definitely do more baking now :) I can’t wait to get the additional tools for shredding and grinding I ordered, I love meatloaf!!! ;)

Broke after 3 months making bread

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had a kitchen aid for 30 years and loved it. It died just after thanksgiving so I asked for a new one for Xmas. This one just made it to Valentine’s Day! Broken in 3 months

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Finally! At 62 years young, I treated myself to the KitchenAid-Artisan in Candy Apple red and I love it! I had a hand mixer all my life so this was a big deal for me to purchase and I am not sorry I did…l am looking forward to making my own bread but in the meantime, the cookies and banana and pumpkin breads that I made are so easy to make with this. I am soooo enjoying baking now!

She has been consistently and efficiently working well since day one, helping my novice baking skills blossom into star baker quality (according to my loyal family and friends, haha!) and has helped me save lbs of sourdough starter feeds by using the discards to bake into sourdough bread, dinner rolls/pandesal, focaccia and variety of cakes! This Kitchenaid product is a power horse in my dainty kitchen! I am impressed and I hope to add more of its accessories for optimal use of its features.

Worst product purchased ever

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Mixer is barely used and died one week after warranty ends. No support from Kitchen Aid. Will not buy any more kitchen aid products. These are expensive product and should last longer.
