Worked great, but the glass bowl is DANGEROUS

I was given this mixer as a gift, and used it for about 6 months with no complaint. HOWEVER, as I was mixing buttercream, the glass bowl shattered and exploded all over my kitchen with seemingly no cause. The bowl had never been dropped, or handled roughly, and the mixing paddle was not in contact with the bottom of the bowl. I had glass all over my kitchen, and myself and my three year old who was helping me bake were nearly impaled by the shards.
If you get this mixer, do yourself a favor and buy a stainless steel bowl to replace the dangerous glass one
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Makes Everything Easier!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this for my birthday earlier this year and I have absolutely loved using it! I have broken two regular electric mixers in the past 3 years from wearing the motor out from thick batters, but this stand mixer takes it like a champ! Even when I’m making pizza or bread dough, the hook attachment works wonders! I don’t have to worry about my wrist hurting from kneeding dough. I can’t wait to buy more attachments! I LOVE this product!!
