[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband bought this for me as a Christmas gift. Since I hadn't asked for it (and am not a baker), I had mixed feelings. But having just finished making cookies for Santa by hand the day before, realized it would have been a help. It's won me over since. We've only made cookies and brownies, but it sped both up immeasurably. To be hands free while it mixes, just adding ingredients and occasionally scraping the sides is terrific! (Love the clear bowl to make that so much easier. and the spout is nice. Also, it is pure quality... its craftsmanship and sturdiness is impressive. Next I'll try bread (too fearful before). Wish me luck! And if you have the means, would highly recommend.

Heavy duty kitchen workhorse

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I won this machine at our office Christmas party. I traded a coworker a 55" TV to get it :) Love love love it. Easy to use, easy to clean. Adjusting the beater height is very simple, the video is easy to follow. I recommend doing the test every so often before you start to mix to make sure it is properly adjusted. It is heavy to move around so mine sits on my counter at the ready. Love the steel gray color too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always had a Kirtchen Aid mixer for over 30 years; one in my home kitchen and a larger professional model that I used for 9 years when I owned and operated a small restaurant in East Falls, Philadelphia. When I sold the restaurant business, (as I had given my home mixer to my daughter earlier) I brought the large one home with me. After 23 years in use it's motor recently expired. Now my new Artisan Design Series 5 quart Tilt-head Stand mixer which is in pride of place on my countertop. Needless to say, I am a devoted KitchenAid fan.

Excited to finally have my own mixer
