Little to say
on April 19, 2020

It is a bummer. Soon after we bought this mixer we started a kitchen renovation project
and mixer went to storage in its box. Yesterday our 11 year son wanted to do some pizzas,
I saw the perfect opportunity to use our new unused mixer. I accidentally dropped a small
species glass container weighing a little over 120 grams and bowl ended with a hole.
Look to me that glass material used is not the right one for a kitchen product.
A side note. Even when it is cool for kids to see the development of the dough to needed
texture, I looked for a stainless steel replacement bowl, those I found do not state mixer
models they fit.

Always wanted one

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered my KitchenAid mixer online from a specialty store in February 2017 and it was out of stock. So I was excited when I finally received it on March 9th. I unboxed it and sat it on the counter. Then I noticed that the name plate wasn't attached completely to the mixer and it moves when I tap it. And the part that the attachments insert into isn't attached evenly. There is a gap. So needless to say I'm disappointed and worried that this mixer wasn't assembled properly. I did turn it on and it seemed to work, but haven't actually used it. So I'm hoping it will just be an aesthetic issue. Which still bothers me because your mixers aren't cheap and I feel like providing an all around quality product wasn't important. I had been contemplating contacting either the store or your company about this, but not ready to deal with a potentially uncaring customer service person. Also, I've bought this same mixer before for my daughter one Christmas and hers looks so nice and I couldn't wait to get one for myself. Now I'm embarrassed for anyone to see mine.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Worth the Wait

I wanted a Kitchenaid mixer before I was married. I’ve been married for over 26 years. Not only did I get my favorite color, I got a few attachments to keep me busy for a while. I LOVE my Plumberry color mixer. The quality is beyond my expectations. It is made amazingly well. I use it several times a week. I don’t need to struggle with hand held mixers anymore. My carpel tunnel made cooking painful and unpleasant. Now I look forward to it. I got the food processor attachment and I use it weekly at least. The dicer is so FUN! My only regret is that I waited 26 years to get my mixer. I should’ve gotten one when I first married. Don’t wait! Enjoy yours now! It’s so worth it.

Love at First Mix

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had my KitchenAid mixer for 2 weeks now and I absolutely love it. I have been wanting one for about 10 years and I finally decided to spend the money. I've made two cakes and some buttercream frosting using my mixer. I decided to go with the glass bowl because I just loved how it looked on the image. The mixer is surprisingly quiet. I think it may be even quieter than my old hand mixer. The only downside is that you have to be very careful with the bowl. My bowl cracked the first time I used it. Not a huge crack, you can't even feel it on the surface, but just seeing the small nick bothers me and I hope it doesn't get bigger. I checked the attachments and none of them hit the bowl so I don't know how the crack even happened. Overall I'm happy with my purchase, but if KitchenAid could send me a replacement that would be awesome.

Messy disappointment

I was excited when I first received this mixer for Christmas 2017, since I love to bake. Sadly, I've found that unless I hand fold any and ALL dry ingredients under liquids or already wet ingredients, the dry ingredients fly everywhere, even at the lowest speed, and even with all of the various mixing attachments. This mixer makes all of my baking projects take much longer, to complete, due to having to hand fold in all dry ingredients. I never had to do that with my old Oster stand mixer.
I considered purchasing the shield, until I read the many POOR reviews and that it only kind of fits on the metal bowls.
I would like my new stand mixer to be functional, rather than just pretty for display. Perhaps KitchenAid would consider designing a shield that actually works, fits, and stays put on both the glass and metal bowls...?

Hate this mixer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I hate this mixer. The glass bowl is far too heavy for me to use and it won't fit in the grooves. I have had it almost a year and have only used it one time. Since I couldn't get the bowl to fit in the grooves, everything in the bowl went flying all over my kitchen counter, cabinets and floor. I've tried and tried to make the thing fit, but it simply won't work. WHAT A HUGE WASTE OF MY MONEY.
I replaced a 15 year old Kitchenaid mixer and I have wished every day that I had it back. Even a little hand mixer would be better than this big thing.

Love the glass bowl!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I read reviews that the glass bowl was fragile, but I’ve banged mine around several times and haven’t had any problems with it. I love how the glass bowl is larger and I can see the food inside the bowl. Glad I went with the glass bowl. I love my Kitchenaid mixer with the pasta attachment!
