So Easy to Use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this as a Christmas gift for myself and I’m so glad I did. It functions like a dream. I had read reviews that the Artisan Design Series motor struggled when kneading bread dough but have had no such problems at all. It runs quietly without overheating. My cakes have never tasted better & as a side bonus it looks great on the counter too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My hand mixer broke and I decided it was time to step up to a real mixer. Used it last weekend to make Slovak ginger cookies and it worked great. And I love the color I picked out. I have a small kitchen so I got a moveable island to put it on. Very happy with everything and with my decision to go with the glass mixing bowl. Highly recommend!

Not Up To The Hipe

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used the mixer 3 times to make bread. Each time the locking mechanism on the arm vibrates loose and unlocks. When I called KitchenAid to check on why it won't stay locked, I was told this is normal. Also, the bread dough works its up the dough hook, over the top of the hook and onto the motor housing. I have to stop it multiple times to push the dough back down to make sure it mixes, but it still goes over the top. Finally, the motor seems to strain as the dough thickens. I'm worried that it will burn out prematurely. However, my bread tastes great as always once I'm finished baking it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Tilt Head Doesn't Stay Up

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love its power and the way it mixes so well, but the tilt head won't lock in the UP position and the heavy head comes crashing down when trying to scrape the beaters or bowl, or move the bowl. I've used mixers for many years and know how to use them, but this is very dangerous. What a disappointment.

A Wonderful MixerT

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second KitchenAid Mixer. The one I already have is a bowl lift. When I purchased it, they didn't have the Tilt-Head Stand. I finally broke down and purchased my new Tilt-Head and I'm so glad I did. It is wonderful. My first thing I made was a Cheesecake. It was wonderful. I've now passed my old mixer onto a dear friend. He's thrilled. This mixer is just like new and I have several extra attachments that he wouldn't get with a new mixer without buying them.
I'm a cook/baker and this mixer has been an important part of my kitchen.
