AMAZING GRINDER

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased the 5 qt Artisan and the Metal Grinder attachment - I made 10 lbs. of Hot Italian Sausage fresh in 2 hours! Including grinding, seasoning and stuffing!

Frosted Pearl White is not white. It's ecru/beige pearl!!!

A frosted/white pearl is just that....white! ...Bought this after waiting years to get a KitchenAid mixer and was disappointed when I got it out of the box. It is more beige or ecru than white. It IS pearlized. NOT as advertised, which is a white product that has been given a pearl finish. I sent mine back after looking at it in several different light sources and different rooms, and outside in the sun and shade. KitchenAid should not show a pearl-white mixer on their websites and in ads! It is a KitchenAid mixer and is sturdy. The glass bowl is VERY heavy and bulky. Will look for another one...just not this color. Will also have to wait for another sale. Prices also just went up.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my new mixer! However, the glass bowl is a little difficult to get on and off. The glass looks prettier, but I wish I would've stuck with the stainless steal. The candy apple red color is so pretty though! It's definitely a bit brighter than the Empire Red available on other mixers. Also, I'm disappointed that the attachments with this mixer must be hand washed, but the ones with the other kitchenaids can be dishwashed. Overall, I do wish I would've gotten the other 5 quart model instead.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son bought me a Kitchen Aid as an early Christmas gift (although I suspect he got it more for himself) just before Thanksgiving. We made "Parker House" rolls for our first project (they turned out perfect). We have since made bread and a batch of cookies. I have been baking bread for many years, but as I have gotten older, the mixing and kneading have gotten much harder. It was a pleasure to use the Kitchen Aid. I plan on making a batch of cookies soon!

Poor quality

I've had my mixer for a few years now. When I first used it, it vibrated all over the counter and smelled bad. They had me send it to them for repair. I know I got the same one back, because the finish was missing in a couple of big spots. It still performs poorly, when not in use, oil drops in the bowl and is around the head of the mixer. The beater "lost" its finish somewhere, after 2 uses. My husband just got me a glass bowl for Christmas and I knew that's not what the bowl used to look like, so I just looked up reviews, and many are incentivized. The ones that aren't, plainly tell that the bowls are cheap and keep breaking. I told him to send it back. No gift is better than wasting money on a cheap product that is a safety hazard. I'll bet people with old mixers, still have a good working mixer and still have their original glass bowl. I'm tired of the once, top notch, quality made, companies selling out and all in the name of a dollar. Kitchen aid, like many other companies, used to mean quality and long lasting. Not any more.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
