[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this just in time to prepare my first solo Thanksgiving. Its ease of use made prepping dinner (including my first ever batch of bread) less stressful and more fun! Plus, it's quite a looker in candy apple red :)
I have wanted to own a KitchenAid mixer for many years, and it was worth the wait. I'm looking forward to more holiday prep and (at some point) purchasing some attachments to further expand my cooking horizons. Thanks KitchenAid for a great product!

Needs Improvement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using my stand mixer for about 3 months now. I have a couple of issues that I feel could be improved upon for future users. The dough hook is not coated as to allow it to be dishwasher safe. One run through the top rack and it now has a black coating that covers my hands and dish towels, and it won't come off. I didn't notice it when I took it out of the dishwasher, and the next time I went to mix dough, it ruined the recipe. There's no warning on the top of the hook that says hand wash only, so I ran it through the top rack.
The other complaint is that the very heavy glass bowl is very hard to position in place on the base of the mixer.
Those issues aside, I love it. If I ever bought another, I might consider a bowl lift design. As a new stand mixer user, I didn't know enough about them to make a more informed decision. Live and learn.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted this mixer for several years but hesitated because of the cost. So when it went on sale and had a rebate, I finally got it. I'm so glad I did! It made baking Christmas cookies so much quicker and easier. Also, it's a beautiful mixer and very sturdy. I love it!!
