[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Christmas present to myself. Why did I wait! Ingredients come together so quickly I have to have everything ready before I turn it on. At first I was concerned with the motor slowing down as the mixture came together. Then I heard the same sound on a cooking show so all is well. I have done double batches of cookies with no problem.
Weight is my only concern as I grow older. I can see where you might want a dedicated spot to keep this. I got the glass bowl because I wanted to see my mix. It weighs 5 lbs. empty but is very stable for scooping cookies. I haven't done anything yet that requires lifting and pouring. I see a lighter stainless bowl in my future. Have not experienced any discoloration or flaking of the paddle that others have reported.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Kitchen aid mixers are the best. About 10 years ago I got the base model. This new one is an upgrade for me. It does everything so easily. The glass bowl is a great size and it helps being able to see as your ingredients are mixed. No matter what you are making, kitchaid makes it better.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was given to me to replace my old MixMaster. I love how deep the bowl is and that the beaters move and not the bowl. I'm waiting to see how well the beaters hold up to normal use because they do feel a little flimsy. I would love to see Kitchen Aid do a better job differentiating between the various stand mixers they offer. It was hard to determine which one best suited my needs. In the end, I decided the tilt head gave me more flexibility so I accepted the smaller size of the bowl.
