i hate this piece of landfill material

it sucks i had to give it one star, deserves zero. nothing but problems. The cost to repair is more than a new machine...so bye bye Whirlpool, im off to a competitor and will gladly fork over my hard earned cash to them.

Easy to use, cleans really good

Nice looking machine, cleans beautifully, very easy to use and priced pretty good. Downside VERY NOISY, can hear this at the other end of the house. Think I would get a front loader next time, this one sometimes leaves powder residue on cloths and have to re-rinse, even after selecting the extra rinse feature, which I have found all top loaders leave this residue. Just bought the matching dryer and this is FANTASTIC.

I have had my washer for a year this month, and am very happy with it. I had to restructure how I loaded it, by not wrapping clothes around the tub, but that was my only change. I bought the correct detergent for it, read the manual, and have had only excellent results with it. I love the design and the features of my washer, and I am buying the matching dryer soon!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Skeptical that the clothes could be cleaned well with the amount of water used , but it does a very good job even with stained articles . Somewhat noisey but the shorter cleaning cycle time and water savings more than make up for it .

This washer is easy to use and actually makes laundry seem fun. It is quiet and gets clothes really clean and doesn't have the thing in the middle that used to tear up my clothes.

We've had this washer for almost 7 years now. In that time, we've had to call appliance repair twice, Whirlpool repair once to replace the control board, and we have fixed problems ourselves three times. I can't recommend this washer or this brand to anyone for that reason. I've spent more money in repairs than I paid for the washer to begin with.We've had the drain pump replaced 3 times (twice we did it ourselves to avoid the high labor bill), the control board has been replaced once due to the "F1" error, the dispenser replaced once (it had cracked and was causing water leaks), and the tub mechanics had to be repaired due to cracks in the bearings. We even had to replace our laundry room floor after a leak developed while we weren't home and submerged the room in water for over 8 hours. It totally ruined the floor and everything on the floor.If you don't mind spending the money for a washer that works great for a year or two, you'll be fine with this one. It's relatively quiet and it cleans clothes well. You do have to make sure you use HE detergent -- too much detergent causes issues very quickly. After a couple of years, be prepared to spend a lot of money for repairs. We finally bought a new washer last week after the 4th pump developed a leak.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Does a Great Job!

We purchased this washing machine right after we moved into our new house. I've been happy about the ease of use and how clean it gets our clothes. I would recommend Whirlpool to anyone looking for a new washer.
