My old heavy duty whirlpool bit the dust after twenty seven years.My local dealer told me the Cabrio was a good replacement.He was right. If you follow the fairly simple instructions (a must for going from an agitator model to a HE model), it works beautifully.It does take a bit longer, especially the white cycle, but the cloths are clean, it uses very little water and there are plenty of features.
I would recommend this to a friend!

not stellar, but better than expected

After reading reviews of this model, it began to look as though this wasn't the best choice for my first HE washer. The deal I was offered was too good to pass up, though, so I gritted my teeth and bought it.My first use was a cleaning cycle as recommended. The washer's lock sequence and load testing sound alarming at first, but they are apparently normal. What really concerned me was how wet the control panel was after the washer filled with hot water, since reviewers complained of the electronics failing on this washer. According to Whirlpool support, this only happens when the water is too hot or the room too cool. There is no seal around the lid to prevent steam escaping, so keep this in mind if you frequently wash with hot water.After using it for a few dozen loads, I can say it's been problem-free. The cycles seem to take longer than my old standard washer, but I never really timed them before. The most critical thing to take away is, as others have said, you have to learn to wash clothes again if this is your first HE washer. I'm still double-checking the instructions on every load of clothes, but they've all come out clean and undamaged....and since this only has a one year warranty, give serious thought to an after-market extension. The store where I bought mine offers a 5-year warranty that runs concurrently with Whirlpool's.

This washing machine has great features

This washer not only looks nice, it fits our laundry needs perfectly, having the selections and features that are important to us. It uses so much less water than older models, and yet cleans efficiently. It lets you know how much time is left on the load, and has a nice jingle at end of the wash as opposed to a busser. The washing cycle is louder than I am used to, it's actually more noisy than the spin cycle. I am enjoying using this machine.

The washer exceeds all my expectations and is reasonably priced. I love that I don't have to guess at which water level to select. Is this 1/2 a load, full load, or a super load. Don't have to worry about that anymore as my washer picks that out for me. It's quiet, doesn't have the center agitator in it like my old one (which tore my clothes up all the time). Just a nice product for the money I paid. I could have chosen a more expensive one but I really liked what this machine had to offer.

I really like the way you don't have to set the water level. It does it somehow on its own. Very easy to use. Very high tech.

The Whirlpool name has always been a strong and dependable one. This washer meets that description.... totally! I love all the selections for clothes types, load sizes, water levels and temps and a wonderful bonus... it has EcoBoost (saves water and saves me money!) It is easy to use, looks great, the clothes are clean-clean-clean. I made a great decision in purchasing this machine....next purchase will be the matching dryer!

Does a great job of cleaning clothes. Love how easy it is to use and how dry clothes are due to a robust spin but it's noisy. Could be quieter.
