Great washer

I bought this washer about three months ago and I am completely happy with it. It was a change as I was going from a front loader to a top loader. I was nervous after reading some of the reviews but I can say I love the washer and it does a good job washing. I have not had any problems at all with it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Shortcomings outweigh advantages

Our Cabrio washer performs as advertised, however its weaknesses outweigh its strengths. You can't just dump dirty clothes in like any other Whirlpool model, if you do your clothes will not come out clean and could get torn. It can be difficult to keep the center of the tub clear of clothes, which is mandatory in this model. This severely limits how much can be washed at one time.The Cabrio is a water-saver to a fault: overload the machine, and your clothes will not come clean. If you don't load the drum properly, your clothes will not come clean. If you wear work clothes that get dirty (like I do), you must wash relatively small loads if you expect them to get clean. The washer will not even clean out the liquid soap left in a cap which was accidentally dropped in the wash (this forced me to re-wash the entire load)!So far, the Cabrio is using as much water and more electricity than my former 18-year-old Whirlpool washer that had a smaller drum, specifically because I need to run many more smaller loads, and often wash work clothes for a second time.It would have been more environmentally friendly - and much easier on my bank account - if I had purchased a less expensive Whirlpool model that washed clothes conventionally.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Features are ok

This washer seems cheap to me, for we had an old set of Maytag and there is no comparison to them. It does use lesss water but takes about twice as long to do a load of laundry as the old set did. Also you can,t get all the vibration out of it when it is spinning even though it is on cement floor. If you want to use spin only it takes twice as long as old type washer. Saves on water but since it takes so long to do a cycye it may use more electricity.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have had this washer with the matching dryer since April 2013. I follow the instructions for load size and composition and have not experienced any issues. I like the load size sensing feature since I frequently have small loads and I know I?m not using large amounts of water to wash them. I also like the multiple choices for wash temperature, spin speed and the extra rinse. I researched extensively before making this purchase and I am pleased with the performance of value of this washer.

WOW is what I have to say. It wow's me everytime I look at it and everytime I use it. From the design aspect all the way to the quality of the wash this is a washer that works for you.....it's stylish and environmentally friendly aspect fits the world as we know it today. It is well thought out and does a WOW job. Thank you Whirlpool for such a great product....wow (whirlpools outstanding washer) is a wow.

We really like the features and efficiency of thi of as washer. Our clothes are cleaner! The unit does make some funny noises, but nothing like the beast of a machine we owned before. Overall very satisfied!
