Best value for features performance

This washer has performed quite well for us so far. The controls are easy to see, understand and use. Additionally the machine itself is more compact than the LG that we replaced and uses quite a bit less water. Very satisfied with its cleaning ability and would recommend this washer to anyone looking to purchase one in the future.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this washer for about amonth! I love being able to wash what I need and it fits because there is no agitator. So far so good! Just need the dryer to match. The Whirlpool washer is energy Efficiant which I love saves money!

The washer is very noisy. I have to close the door to the laundry room when using it. I've tried the normal and casual settings but only for a few clothes. If I have a normal load I use the bulky items setting so there's water in the washer. I don't like the lock lid feature as sometimes I want to check what's going on and don't like waiting for it to unlock. I used to be able to wash something out by hand then put it in to spin it. Now it has to go through the drain and spin or rinse and spin cycle. I feel I've lost control with all the new features.

I am happy with my machine. I like saving water and energy while still getting clothing clean. The controls are easy to operate and the noise level is tolerable. The stability is excellent.

Great, but not for large items like sheets

This is a great machine and cleans well with little detergent and water. It has so many choices for settings which is wonderful and so many water choices. The only drawback is that large sheets tend to twist and sometimes tangle in a weird way because of the agitation. You have to get used to "bunching" your clothes when putting them into the drum rather than spread them out. That is hard with queen sized sheets. Other than that, the cleaning is superb.

Terrible Machine!

Absolutely awful machine! Not only does it not get clothes clean, it often does not even get them wet! I take things out after banging and clanging around for close to an hour and the ones on top are still dry in places. Not to mention that it has ruined several articles of clothing by leaving big, round stains on them, that will not come out. It becomes "unbalanced" very easily, and sits there with all of the lights blinking non-stop as if it is having a seizure. And it "spins" so aggressively that it has ripped things. I was talking to a friend last month about washing machines, and she mentioned that she had bought a new one, and that she hates it, had tried to give it away...Guess what! It was the same machine as mine. We had both bought it because of the reviews in Consumers Report. I will never trust them again.

A good machine at a good price

Just enough options, not overloaded with bells & whistles. If you want a consistently high water level, use the Bulky Items setting. The design needs to allow for use of Clorox 2, or else the instruction manual needs to specify how & when to add it. The lid lock is annoying, as is the sloped top.
