Efficient, cleans well, but no noise control

In the four months we've had this machine, we've seen our water bill decrease significantly and we previously had an HE, but it was 10 years old.And it does a great job cleaning our clothes - including those of 2 young boys.However, it makes a series of loud beeps at the end of the cycle to indicate it's complete and there is no way to change or disable this sound. We're in a small house with the children's bedroom near the machine, but the noise doesn't seem to bother them.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It is quiet...but junk.

I hate this washer! I would not recommend it to anyone. Bought Whirlpool because I have a dishwasher from 1972 that still works great and an old refrigerator that is equally excellent. The washer is a piece of trash. My husband works hard and his clothes stink after washing properly. It lasted barely past years warranty (2 months past) and then it started making weird noises. My husband who is a mechanic, took it apart and discovered the nut on the bottom of the tub had fallen off. Duh?! Now it is about 1 1/2 years old and is making more strange noises and the timer isn't working. I am so fed up with this machine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought this Washer brand new In January. I don't like the fact that it has an automated lid lock because I can't throw in that sock I forgot once the cycle has started.After less than three months the washer quit working. I have had a technician come several times for repairs, but the new parts still don't work. I am taking time off of my new job to wait for the service repairs, and still have to pay to use a laundry mat. Do not buy this washer.

doesn't clean our clothes...

This washer has had no mechanical issues, since purchase. However, it does not get the clothes clean. I'm left with grit and debree stuck to my clothing. Also, clothes do not always smell fresh.

Have a problem with mildew

We have NEVER had a problem with clothes having a mildew smell, until our new Whirlpool washer and dryer and it is now happening multiple times. Our understanding from other whirlpool owners is that they are having the same problems. Everything else about the machines are great, but this issue alone is the reason we will NEVER own another whirlpool and will recommend to others they DO NOT purchase whirlpool products as well. Word of mouth is a powerful referral tool--both good and bad--and your reputation is poor because of this one problem.

The fact that less water is used when washing a load, saves wasting a precious resource I love the styling of my washer, and the easy way in which to select my settings.

Love the fact I can now wash items that would have required having to go to a laundromat such as my quilts, King size bedspreads and floor rugs.The machine has done a great job getting our clothes clean and i recommend it for any family.We are now saving not only on water but on detergent.

Wonderful machine

I am ver happy with my new Whirlpool washing machine. My water bill has dropped dramatically because this machine uses very little water. The many different features, ie: temp, soil level etc. tells you exactly where the settings need to be according to what you are washing.
I would recommend this to a friend!
