Noisy and leaves soap residue

Washer is very noisy. In addition it leaves visible soap residue on dark clothes. Now routinely choose an extra rinse which decreases the economical aspect that washer was touted as having.

Previously had a front load washer that worked very well but was not stable on wood floor so replaced with this top load. When just using regular cycles/settings, I found my clothes were not getting very clean. Stains were not coming out as they had with previous washers (same detergents, etc). HOWEVER, I have found that if I set it on the "bulky" cycle (more water used), presoak as needed, and add an extra rinse, my clothes are coming out perfectly clean.

After reading many negative reviews about he washers, I took the plunge and bought this Whirlpool Cabrio. I needed a washer with a small footprint to fit in a very small upstairs space, but didn't want to give up the large capacity I had with my old agitator top-loader. This Cabrio can handle as big a load as the extra-large capacity agitator model I had even though its dimensions are smaller, and I think the clothes come out as clean or cleaner. You do have to read the instructions carefully and get used to the differences in an he washer, such as filling the tub loosely and matching spin speed to clothing type. My only complaint is the noise. It is LOUD.

I love my new washer!!!!! The clothes come out smelling so clean and the capacity is huge. My last whirlpool washer lasted 15 years with little to no repairs. There was no question as towhat brand I would purchase, I had to be a whirlpool. I would highly recommend.

I have to start each load at least 3 times. The washer never likes any amount I put in or any mix. It stops halfway through the wash cycle then it dumps all your expensive Tide soap and stops. So you rearrange the clothes, half wet, half still dry, and try again. Of course, the washer starts from the beginning because it has no option to continue. Finally after about an hour and a half or more -- 90 to 120 minutes to complete a 35 minute cycle. I HATE THIS WASHER and have no money to buy another one so I'm stuck. I did get it to complete a cycle by only loading 2 towels into it -- the washer liked that load and didn't stop half way through the cycle.

3 years and BOOM

Used this washer for 3 years, lightly soiled garments, probably 3x a week total for 2 adults. Basic underwear, dress shirts, sheets, towels, regular clothing. Today, the service call said the bearings/transmission were shot and the entire mechanism has to be replaced.
