I was looking for a simple but good washing machine. what i got was a machine that washed my clothes poorly leaving random white spots on my clothes and despite HE detergent, does not get out deoderant smell from shirts. in addition, the low spin cycle, even on delicate cycle leaves my clothes very wrinkled.the biggest kicker is that after only 9 months, the machine broke down. transmission, belt, cover and cam need to be replaced!!! repairs have not been done yet, let's see if it makes it to a year. good thing i bought a 4 year extended warranty.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Washer gets too many soap suds and not enough water. I add water and always use "extra rinse" cycle. Also, washing takes too long, as water sensor takes long time before washing starts. "Warm" water setting is cool, not warm. I have to put on "hot" to get warm setting, so no hot water either. I wish I had not purchased energy efficient washer. I like the old washing machines! I do like the Whirlpool dryer, however.

I love this washer. I had to make a few changes in my shopping habits, by switching to HE laundry detergent, but hey it is well worth the change! This is a great product. THANKS AGAIN WHIRLPOOL!!!

Easy on fabrics

Love the short agitator, very gentle on fabrics. Wish there was a handwash cycle and a bit less noise. Went to this one after our front loader (with handwash and almost silent) smelled ALL the time and leaving the door open was very inconvenient.

Worst Washer Ever!

Purchased an upgraded Whirlpool appliance package with my new home in October. Repairman says working ok but put on Fabric Softener setting to get a little extra water in tub. Clothes do not get clean.... How energy saving is it to have to wash a load of clothes multiple times to get them clean. When washing sheets some of the sheets do not even get wet during the cycle. Never buy this model!
