new era sounds and features

well it is not a bump in the night but the new sounds are different and take a while to get use to but the results are great. well we can say we now have all the bells and whistles and flashing lights . very happy with the water usage and power saving thak you for a great product.

My old washer (with agitator) broke and I bought this to replace it. Just wanted something simple. It is, and it's fine. I read reviews before purchasing it about clothes not getting as clean without the agitator, etc.. I can see why people would write that, as we're all used to clothes being nice and wet after a wash. So far, though, they seem clean to me....

The Cabrio washer is radically different in operation and efficiency from my older time proven Whirlpool washer. The more frugal use of water was immediately apparent. One of the major adjustments for me was noting the different sounds as it went through cycles. Without a center mixing pole in the center of the drum it was hard to believe that the Cabrio could compete with my older Whirlpool but it does a much better and more efficient job with less detergent and less water usage. Since we are prone to current surge in my area I disconnect the power cord after each use having received this tip from a local Whirlpool repairman and a Whirlpool customer service technician.

I really like my new washer

I'm still learning which wash cycle to use for each load. I wish my washer had come with a book that explained more of each cycle and more about the water level. The explanations seem to be a little vague for me. I love the way it washes and gets my laundry clean. Would love to someday purchase the dryer also. I'm very happy with my new washer. Had to get used to picking button to add fabric softener to rinse.

Great Product

I like that this washer does not make a lot of noise, I also like the sound it makes when its done. Very easy to use and its a good quality. A minor con is that it only uses HE laundry detergent and HE detergents can be expensive.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Control board failure

I bought this washer and after getting the flashing lid lock light and replacing the actuator, only to find out the control board needs replaced as well. Will be buying another one instead of repairing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Washer

Really like the washer-thus far it seems to perform as advertised. The sounds this thing makes takes some getting used to, but overall we really like it! The only complaint we have is the detergent tray-it holds water when the cycle is complete, which requires you to dry it out. Too early to tell how the reliabilty and longevity of the washer will be-but thus far (about a month), we really like it!
