I love this washer!

This washer is a gentle and thorough cleaning machine. It is a great washing machine that is quick, efficient and leaves the clothes clean and sweet smelling! The fact that there is no central agitator insures that your clothes are gently moved through the wash cycle. This is the best washer we have ever owned and I would recommend it. I did not want a top loader and this is not. I've never understood why I need to bend down to load a front load machine. This has all of the benefits of a front loader, but no need to bend down....the BEST!

18 month old Cabrio - lid lock does not work

I purchased the Cabrio since it does not have a center agitator. It is 18 months old, out of warrantee and the lid lock will not work, therefore the washer will not work. I only use it once or twice a week. I have had washers for 20 - 30 years without problems. This one also takes a long time to wash, much longer than other washers. Very disappointed in this machine. I doubt Whirlpool will stand behind this product unless I buy an extended warrantee. 18 months and not working is not acceptable.

Whirlpool broke my heart and trust

I never thought Whirlpool would design and manufacture such a piece of junk. The washer isn't half as good as washers were 40 years ago. I can stop it long after the wash cycle has begun, open the lid and the clothes are still in the same position I put them at the beginning of the cycle. Many times the detergent is undissolved in spots on the clothes after washing. We became trained to only fill it half full to get the best (not even good) results. And the he detergent cost a lot more too. We never could get a truly clean smelling load of clothes out of this washer. We tried using more detergent but it wouldn't rinse it all out. Then when the tub bearing went out after only a little over 2 years, I wasn't mad at all. I just went to Lowe's and asked where are the old fashioned washers that used the proper amounts of water and was told that GE was the only ones that did. So we now have a new GE with the old style tried and true agitator. And the whole family is happy here after. The End.

Leaves clothes too wet.

The clothes never seem to be spun out dry enough. My old washer that I had for 24 yrs. seemed to spin the clothes almost dry. The clothes now are still very wet and heavy. It takes longer to dry them. I just don't feel the clothes are clean. No one has really explained exactly how this machine works without and agitator. All the sales people seemed to be guessing, but I trusted Whirlpool to give me a good product. I thought since it didn't have an agitator, that it would hold more clothes, but it doesn't since they have to be lightly piled around the edge. I feel disappointed and stuck for the next 24 yrs. By that time, I'll be too old and won't care if my clothes are clean or not. I should have stuck with Kenmore.

This machine does a great job. There's no guesswork on what load size to use, it sets to whatever amount of clothes you put in for each cycle.

Thought I had a great washer in Whirlpool

I paid extra for this washer but that was ok cause it was a "Whirlpool" and I knew I was going to be using it a lot. It's now making a very loud noise and the top bleach cup is rusting away. The washer is NOT holding up, it looks like it's 50 years old. I'm so disappointed in Whirlpool I could just cry.

I have thad his washer since May and I like it but I don't love it, it is a top loader and you can not open it once you have started your cycle. Not to crazy about the soap dispenser situation.
