Great bang for the buck!

This machine is amazing for the price. It cleans your clothes really well while saving water and energy. The design is nice and is an overall great product. Would definitely recommend this machine to somebody buying their first washer or those on a budget.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This machine runs too long!

I have been using this macine for three months now and can find nothing that I like about it. In fact, I often revert to my old machine which I had installed in the basement to run loads of wash through. As an energy efficient machine, it may use less water, but burns more kw hours of electricity because a load of wash takes upwards of one hour to complete. My electricity rates are much higher than my water rates, so this is not a plus in my opinion, and certainly not an energy saver. I also find that the washer leaves a soap residue on my clothing, particularly dark colored clothing, where it is more noticeable thus causing me to use more water to rerinse in my old washer. My daughter purchased a Whirlpool (agitator type tho) and has the same complaints, especially that of the soap residue on clothing. It ruined a few of her daughters cheerleading uniforms. I intend to write to Consumer Resports as I don't know how they test appliances, but they did recommend this particular washer.

Big and many features but leaves lint often

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this washer but one thing not having the middle swoosh plastic agitator is that I'm left with much more lint than I thought I'd have. I'll research what to do but for now it's not fixed. I love having lots of space and options, for that I'm thrilled!

Does not clean and rusting after 18 months

I purchased this machine because it was a Whirlpool and because I liked the idea of not having a center agitator which made it easier to remove the clothes. The salesman sold me on the low water levels. I should have known better! This machine does not clean my clothes. Also, the lid began to rust within 18 months of owning the machine. I purchased a 5 year extended coverage and was shocked when I learned that the rusting was not covered. Also, pieces of rust keep dropping down into the dispenser tray. I've put up with this lousy machine for 6 years and now I can finally afford to buy another washing machine to replace it. I do not recommend this machine!

Five years old and nothing but problems with lid lock and now motor is shot. Will never by a another whirlpool produce.

Big but needs better swishing

Not working as it use to.

I bought this washer and dryer a few years ago. In the last 10 months its is working only part time. The agitator works about 5 seconds and stops, its does nothing until it starts rinsing . Then half of the loads do not spin proper, you have to spin again again.
