Innovations on this pair goes backwards

Slanted top makes it difficult to set anything on top and hinders using as a folding surface. This model is much louder than other washers we've owned and vibrates and walks even with small loads.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Needed warranty service in the first year - "drive gears" wore down. The machine cleans very well, but occasionally I find a tiny hole in knits - t-shirts, etc. That happens on the "normal " cycle. It does not happen on the "casual" cycle, but that cycle leaves clothes more wet and takes a longer drying time. When I wash larger items, I often find them covering the center at the end even though I placed them around the side in the beginning.

I've never owned a Whirlpool product before. I got this machine 3 days ago and I have washed a small, medium, and heavy load. Everything seems very clean. It is all quite interesting how it works. I wish this model had a see-through top. I hope it will save energy $$ as it advertises.

This washer replaces one that I purchased in 1985. Needless to say I am still getting acquainted with the new technology and all of the options this product has.I am getting the hang of how to load clothes into the washer and finally learned that I do not have to use much detergent, which has eliminated me from having to re-rinse clothes. I love all the different wash and spin cycles. The high spin cycle which has eliminated long drying sessions because the clothes are not as wet as with my older washer.This washer is a bit noisy but it 's located in a utility room so it doesn't disturb me too much. The end of cycle signal is too low--can barely be heard even with the door to the utility room open.Overall, I am impressed with the washer.

This type of washer uses much less water and still gets the clothes clean! Have noticed a drop in monthly water bill. Great safety feature where the lid locks down when in use! Love the drawer that opens where the fabric softener and detergent is placed so that it is properly dispensed when washer is on. Like all of the options available on the washer in order to properly wash different types of clothing.

Replaced my 12 year old Whirlpool washer with the Cabrio and as always with Whirlpool products couldnt be happier. Very quiet machine, great features.. Only feature I wish this had was a timed setting. Loves how it measures the clothes to determine the amt of water, Clothes come out almost dry which cuts down on dry time.I would recommend this washer to my friends and family.

Decent and a good price

I like the Cabrio washer and dryer. I traded in my front loader which was AWFUL! We had just purchased a new washer and dryer in 2004, and I should have kept them. But we moved and left them with the house, thinking that this water-saving technology was awesome. STupid, stupid, stupid. The Cabrio is much better than the front loader, but not as good as my old, pre-2007 washer. I don't think anything would be. Sigh.
