So far, I love this frig. The retro look appeals to me and there is so much more room than in my 1960s frig. Love the bottom freezer. I don't have to bend over when I need something out of the frig and I'm pretty tall so it saves my back. The only downfall is it's a little loud but that doesn't bother me.
just took possession of my new fridge. looks good. little deeper and taller and a bit thinner then my old model it replaced but appears to be a bit more room inside. I got freezer under so my 82 year old mom can view in frig part with out bending. well see how well preformance gos in future. minor prob light burned out in fridge and dont think it was leveled. replaced the light working ok will level when im off work.
I've had my new fridge installed for a week and I love it! It has a lot of interior space for food storage and the freezer has a nice big basket to hold items. I especially love the deep shelves in the door - great for storing milk and condiment jars.
This is a great simple refrigerator. It has retro styling at a reasonable price. There are two reasons I'm not giving it 5 stars. One, the sides of the refrigerator are textured like old or cheap fridge's are. The front is smooth, so if your fridge is going to be placed where the sides aren't seen or on display, it's no big deal. But I feel like GE should have made the sides smooth as well, or at least make it noticeable in the pictures. Second, it's quite loud. It's not 'running' all the time, but when it is, it's louder than our previous 18 year old fridge. Although, our house is only about 1,200sq ft. Maybe you wouldn't hear it if you lived in a bigger house and your living room and bedroom were further away from it. I guess I do have two suggestions for GE. The first as mentioned above is to install smooth sides of the fridge (not textured) and the other would be for the handles to be not brushed stainless steel. A polished stainless steel hardware would make it more true to the era.
I love the roominess of the refrigerator - everything visible and reachable. The door holds a lot and a perfect place to hold all my little containers of condiments that would ordinarily get lost in the back of my old refrigerator. Most importantly, it is quiet compared to my last refridgerator!!!!!!!!!!!!
Received this refrigerator/freezer today. So far it is working fine. We had ice in less than an hour and the temps according to our thermometers are right on the money.
My wife and I picked this fridge bc of the original look and design. It is designed for a small space which we needed but packs a lot of room in it considering its size. The door alone holds a lot of products. All the condiments you can think of in addition to milk and butter and sour cream, etc. Great product. Runs quiet when it is on as well.
